  1. So what brand and colors/ flavors do you guys like best? My all time favorite is berkly pb in original yellow. Don't know why but the other colors just doesn't produce as many bites as that yellow. Feel free to chime in if you got recipes you'd like to share.
  2. Trd = A lot of trd bass lol
  3. I like strike king when the bass want a lot of action and smithwicks when they aren't as active. Wish I could afford some mega bass or lucky craft but I tend to lose them a lot when bank fishing.
  4. Ace hardware carries fishing lures?
  5. I would start on something easy like a medium spinning set up and worms/stick worms/ Ned rigs. These won't catch a lot of big fish but numbers will get any new angler hooked for sure.
  6. Still haven't caught bass on a fluke, they are my go-to for white bass and hybrids but no large mouth yet. I've caught drums, carps, catfish, walleye, gars, no bass
  7. Sometimes you see stuff like this and you just brush it off. Best to just think it's a tree or your mind playing tricks on you. I had an encounter with something huge while I was yaking and a long time ago during a family fishing trip to this same lake a lot of us saw something big rolled up on the surface and made waves before descending. Still scares me but not enough to keep me from fishing.
  8. This guy on the tube has some amazing builds using balsa his name channel is Paul Adams check him out he covers pretty much everything
  9. Used plaster of Paris once, I think some guys use rtv silicone. If you're not selling no one will know lol
  10. Swim jig from khangbro lures. Almost beat my pb

    Kietech or gambler
  12. What kind of waters do you fish? Clear to stained I would run a fluro leader. 20 pound braid is very small in diameter, I wouldn't recommend it for a baitcaster that you are just going to skip and pitch docks with you don't really need the extra distance so Maybe up the braid to 40 or 50 pound test. Can't really give advice on your other setups as I'm still learning myself, good luck and fish on! Forgot to mention back your reels with cheap mono it will save you lots of $.
  13. I use a drop shot where I know there is fish. Most of the time I'm working it pretty slow so I wouldn't consider it a search bait.
  14. Look for power plant lakes in states near you
  15. Just watched it and yes it's on my tw list now
  16. Still cheaper than the megabass s crank, would like to see a vid on how it hunts first but I would buy one

Haven't had the chance of firing a hmr yet but I love my .22s. My 10 22s don't get much love now that I bought a mp15 22 that gun is just so fun to shoot. Still waiting for them slide fire stocks get cheaper lol
  18. I load up my gear in a back pack. I have a Plano worm binder for my finesse plastics and a bigger spiderwire binder for other plastics. Most my hard baits and jigs/bladded jigs are in thin 3601 Plano boxes. Boxes for jerkbaits, dd cranks, top water gets put in or taken out when the season changes. Side pockets are great for spinner baits and tools.
  19. What kind of lures? Hard baits or jig heads? I've had this happen on a few cheap jig heads left in the car during summer heat.

It's saved me two packs of yama senkos already. Great product
  21. Just make sure you don't void the warranty if you fix it yourself.
  22. Most of the time I order jig heads and wire tie my own skirts, sieberts are my favorite so far, untill I can find someone who uses trokar hooks I'll keep buying from sieberts.
  23. I can't say much about the rod but that is one nice reel but the price point is high
  24. Yup, it's not the best for some of those lures but get what you can afford and use it. Also with a moderate fast action you can add crank baits to the list to.
