  1. Still got the receipt? Go refund it lol. Might help if you tell us what reel it is. You should never have to take the spool tension knob completely off to adjust a lure. As far as the reel being loud you Might have rusted bearings, on cheaper reels they don't use anti rust bearings.
  2. Since I'm only 4 hours away it usually takes 2-3 days. Got a rod replaced and a new spool earlier this year. If it's taking that long you should give them a call
  3. Fan casting a small spinner bait, or dragging a weightless worm, has been pretty good for me when I'm trying to locate bass in ponds.
  4. Powell deisel on sale it's about 50 to 60. Use mine for lipless and square bills mostly.
  5. Braid and flurocarbon are pricey your not going to cast a full spool so use some cheap mono backing and only put on as much line as you can cast then a few extra yards incase you get a big one that peels your drag. Just my two cents.
  6. Most of my rods for other fish are two pieces. Only the rods I use for bass are one piece. Never had a problem with 2 piece rods.
  7. Yes they are great, I pitch them to areas where I think might hold fish.
  8. Yup nothing more frustrating than getting your shoes tangled up in someone's old fishing line while beating the bank.
  9. I just throw my rusted hooks and jigs in a Gatorade bottle. That way no one will get sticked on accident.
  10. Just got a few in can't wait to try them out with my bfs setup. What do you guys recommend for a trailer
  11. How big of a weight are you using with the worm and are you pegging the weight or is it free to slide? I find pegging a weight keeps my worm more weedless. Also since you new I gotta ask if you are Texas rigging the worm right lol.
  12. Take it apart and do it again until you get it right. My first baitcaster I cleaned it took me 6 times haha
  13. Yes the senko! My last resort as well. If I can't get a bite on a senko I'll know I did everything I could lol.
  14. If I'm with a certain guy I always say "Where you at" but most of the time I just keep quiet and enjoy the fight.
  15. All great advice above. Been having reel good luck with a square bill around here the waters have been muddy to stained by heavy rains. Loud rattles seems to help the fish key in easier, if the pond has any grass you can try ripping a crankbait, or target those gravel beds. Good luck fishing.
  16. Kraken squarebill
  17. Try some line conditioner. But that red label won't do you any good in rip rap.
  18. Rubber mesh are great, I use it when I'm landing catfish or other table fare fish. Don't have a boat so I don't carry it when I'm out bass fishing. Even on a kayak I don't bring it, just more crap I gotta buy if I ever flip lol.
  19. Be for I heard of z man or the Ned rig I use to put half a cheap stick worm (bigbitebaits) on a darter or ball jig head and hammer the smallies. Some days the official Ned rig works better some days the fish don't care. The combos are infinite your just mimicking small prey.
  20. When they are spawning and jumping around like crazy they usually won't eat. Bring your treble hook game if it's legal their
  21. Anything I got laying around as long as it moves water.
  22. Sweet man! Ain't nothing like that feeling you get when your work pays off especially on the water
  23. One rod that's usually always in my cars is an Abu vengeance 7 foot m power fast action 2 piece, though its not very sensitive compared to other rods it was only 30 bucks when I picked it up 3 years ago. Pulled in a lot of big fish with this rod.
  24. Just wondering since they are fairly decent priced at only 4 bucks. And the Colors look good to L hunts. I guess they've been blocked from the forums
  25. Some days the bass are quicker to swallow, watch your line and don't leave to much slack
