  1. how much line do you spool on before you let tension off? I've only had that happen on bigger line like 20 pounds fluoro or 16 pound mono And up. All I did was keep pressure till a quarter of the reel is full then loosen up pressure so I can get a steady retrieve going. But to save you money on fishing line check out Aaron martens video on braid backing.
  2. I think your tatula is underspooled. I go till the line reaches the taper off and if it wants to backlash then I cut some line off but it's only happened to one reel.
  3. Man I thought those gx2 were nice lol. Wait for a sale and save up, sometimes you can find 100$ rods for half the price. Check out tackle warehouse, and other sporting goods store. Even Wal-Mart has decent rods on sale sometimes.
  4. My top 3 Are kvd, lc pointers/live pointers, and smithwicks
  5. are you fishing a lake or river? I lake fish for stocked trout and use a 5'6 ultra light it can cast 1/8 to 3/16 spoons n spinners pretty decent and set powerbait or live bait. I think my rods are daiwa trifoce. We're about 25 to 30 bucks on eBay. 6 pounds fluro on a 1000 size reel it handles bigger trout fine. The rod is a moderate taper
  6. Great job man. Time to catch some fish on them
  7. Drop shot Robo worm still ice on lake at the tine
  8. The lightest cranking rods I've held are the Powell and doybns but they are pricey
  9. You really like bluegills lol. I don't usually catch any big ones just frys that we use as bait but they are fun to catch on ultra light tackle. Thanks for the Tips
  10. Lol get the 100 packs man you'll save more online bogo a few days ago I picked up two bulk packs
  11. I just carry what I think I need for the day there is always that little voice in your head saying you should have brought this or that but you gotta block it out or you'll be carrying to much gear. And what I bring depends on the lake and time of yeae
  12. Nice! All I've been catching at the dotte are little ones.
  13. The bait monkey got me good. Just ordered me two bulk packs of yama senko from dicks it's buy one get one half off. Comes to about 100 bucks for 200 senkos that's 50 cents a piece compared to 75 cents a piece when buying in packs of 10s. I think I'll be set for a few years Lol

Yup used them last year with the Simms arm sleeves to no more sunburn
  15. Best wishes man. I was wondering why they had metropolitan blocked off. I hope your friend recovers, and those guys are put behind bars. Prayers him and his family
  16. usually 3 a ml spinning. mh jig rod. Mh cranking rod. Sometimes I'll carry a fourth top water rod. Re tying kinda sucks but days I don't want to launch the kayak shore fishing gets rid of the itch
  17. Man and all this time I've been saving my used plastic, don't think I want to get into pouring after reading that haha
  18. please explain what a boorig is, now I'm interested haha
  19. Green one with the chartreuse tail is killer for me and always flat side down
  20. Are you concerned about line twist? If so I used to use the vmc hooks with swivels. But when I went to braid with fluro leader line twist wasn't that bad so I switched to cheaper circle or octopus hooks. I usually retie before my leader gets messed up and it's just a simple Palomar knot.
  21. Senko for shallow to deep. Most numbers but not the biggest. Wacky or Ned rigged
