  1. The lews has 4 pin internal, and the external brakes, wouldnt that be considered dual brakes? As for the 50e I see a big difference in running one extra brake. Plus you've got the wind blowing your bait back. That's why don't pick up the 50e if I'm casting anything smaller then a 1/4 ounce in heavy wind. Maybe it's just my reels or I can't cast who knows.
  2. Good deal just bought one for full price 3 weeks ago haha. To bad I can't return it, return policy sucks. I'll definitely be kicking myself for a while after seeing this.
  3. Just ceramic bearings, and some Eva foam grips. haven't noticed to much distance gain with the bearings but they do make casting easier, especially with one hand
  4. If you got the money get the lews. I really like the dual breaking better for windy days. On a windy day if I'm trying to throw light stuff I won't even touch my 50 e
  5. Sweet can't wait to get into rod building. But gotta wait for $
  6. I've seen the swuarebill ones do they make a deep diver other then the 8 xd? I use to throw 10 xd. On a 76 mh veritas winch rod with no Problems. Tough I was always scared it might snap my rod.
  7. small spinner baits I do good with the bomber ones
  8. I use then for spoons and. Inline spinners. If they were more weedless I would use them for other things to. But doing that makes ya lazy, might forget how to tie knots lol
  9. Yup I only drop shot from shore. I'm boatless and my kayak moves to much to effectively fish really slow
  10. Super glue lol. But never had that problem using the alberto knot. I only retie when the leader gets to short, or it frays near the knot
  11. for small mouth? I ask because we have dirty rivers here, I've caught and snagged a lot of different fish but never smallies or large mouth.
  12. Rofl stripper, striper, striped bass.
  13. I just wash my hands in the lake water or restroom if available. Just dab some scent on your bait you should be good. I smoke tobacco and scents like megastrike procure really helps or at least I believe that it does
  14. since your bank fishing you'll want something that doesn't get hung up much. spinner baits, Texas rigged worms, swim jigs, these aren't to pricey and are proven to catch bass. You might want to research lures with treble hooks first before purchasing them. Good luck and happy fishing.
  15. white bass mixed with a stripper
  16. We fish for wippers in fast current with a jig head and fluke. wippers didn't mind the action but not sure about bass
  17. I've noticed when I throw a chatter bait mornings and evening time I have more success. Could be during the midday bass are lazy even in dirty water
  18. cheap route would be hook, weights, and worms
  19. I have a Powell diesel crank rod. Can't imagine how the higher end stuff is when the lowest model feels so good
  20. Very nice, at first I thought you were making a rod to fish gators with lol

You can blow up a minnow as well just need a little syringe. Works better on fat head minnows, shinners are more flat and harder to air up. But I'd go with the drop shot or slip float idea.
  22. Teardrop or stick weight just lead never tried tungsten befor
  23. I always use a leader unless in fishing heavy slope or veg. Once you get the knot down it only takes a minute to tie
  24. if your using your fingers to aply pressure on line as you reel, then you will have to follow the line eye as you reel. Happens to me a Some times
