What's your opinion?
I think a lot has to do with the franchisee or the owner. Lousy management, penny pinching and lack of give-a-hoot by the employee's are probably the main factors in the demise of the food quality at chains. FM

Circle hooks and barbless
I can definitely see using them for wacky rigged or nose hooked. Texas rigged or Tex-posed nope. Smash the barb down for those, I'd think you'd be fine. Most gut hooking I think comes from missing the strike and letting them swallow the bait. I don't do much wacky rigged fishing, FM

What double stick tape is used for the ninja blade?
I found this in TW comments section: Comments:I've had one for 5 years now and can attest that it works great. Definitely makes a difference if you fish in and around aquatic vegetation. Mine has performed incredibly well clearing my tm prop of primerose, hyacinth and elodea on the CA Delta. **Don't use the two-sided tape that comes with it though, it will fail. I researched it and used Devcon waterproof "2-ton" clear epoxy and it has stayed solid. I've seen the 3M two sided tape at Auto Zone. Good Luck, FM

Where can I get a Shimano 100mm handle ?
Here's a couple of links to Shimano handles 100mm and 102mm. I suspect Bulldog will be along sooner or later and has much better sourcing then I. FM https://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/product/2086 https://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/product/2086

Pending NY Bill to Outlaw Fishing Tournaments?
I found this after clicking your link to the bill: This bill will make it unlawful for any person to organize, sponsor, conduct, promote or participate in any contest, competition, tournament, or derby with the objective of taking or hunting wildlife for prizes for other inducement, or for entertainment. This does not include contests for hunting white-tailed deer, turkey, bear, or fishing contests. So it sounds like the fishing tournaments are safe for now. FM

My yak
Got wide shoulders, big muscles? A lot of weight in the upper body? Physics is the reaction to the reaction of you leaning over and getting that weight off of the center line / balance point of your kayak. such as twisting to reach behind you. The kayak will take the path of least resistance and slide out from underneath you like stepping on a bar of soap. You're gonna need a bigger boat, Biggin.

Which Kayak Trailer?
I just picked up a Malone micro sport 2 bunk. I like it so far and no issues towing back to the house. I do want to replace the tongue bar (square tubing) with a longer tube. It is a fairly short trailer and I want to make the tongue longer by 2-4' which should improve it for backing up and launching (floating off) from the trailer. FM

Potato Luncher For Casting Bait After Second Sand Bar From Beach For Shark
The trick to using a launcher to launch baits is to have them pre-rigged. You freeze your bait weight and all in a water filled tube of the correct diameter and making sure to connect the line prior to launch is a good thing. Don't ask me how I know. FM

2nd best buzzbait
Damiki MTB Noisy Buzzbait. I really like the clacker on it and I have done very well with it. FM P.S. At the risk of getting flamed, I like it better then the Cavitron.

New rod, what reel?
Well if it were me, throwing the bigger baits I'd lean toward Curado K 300 or the Lexa 300 or something that would allow for a decent amount of 20lb - 25lb mono. I feel it would handle the treble hooked baits better and provide the beefed up gearing needed for the bigger heavy weight baits. FM I know they are above your $150 target both are 219.00 on TW.

? re: Line ratings for rods
The ratings are there for a guide line. It's OK to run 50#braid on a MH rod that may be rated 12-20lbs. Just take it into consideration when you get hung up with your 50# braid or pulling in that 30lb pile of weeds that you could easily break the rod pulling on the snag or weed pile. The general rod classifications are Ultra light 2-4lb lines, Light - 4-10lb, Medium light or Medium 6-12 or 14lbs. Medium heavy is 10-12 to 18-20lb line. Heavy 16-25llb line. Again it is general and the rating will vary by manufacturer. Hope that helps, FM

Bladed jig…how deep?
I've used a 1.25oz jackhammer down to 25-30'. Using it like a jig. I cast and let it hit the bottom and crank it up for 8-10 turns then hit the button and let it fall back to the bottom. Dunno how that would work in 30-50'. WRB is spot on with the bladder needle. Make sure you know how to fizz them (release the air out of they're swim bladder),

Daiwa 21 Zillion SV TW 1000P
Couple of questions, Dan. Are you using the 1016 or 1012 SV spool or just a RCSB 1016 or 1012 spool? Any source of supply that you've found to be better? FM

Kayak Tournament Fishing - Torqeedo or Xi3?
I'm not sure how big the difference is. I don't look behind me. But the Torqueedo 1103 is 155#'s thrust (3hp). I think the Xi3 is 55#'s of thrust. FM
