  1. Loved the history lesson WRB and Bulldog! Bulldog do you have a link where I can get one of those short ML blade rods? I like to float the Guadalupe south of Seguin. FIshingmickey
  2. Rubbing compound and a buffing wheel? Jewelers rouge and a soft cloth in front of the TV? An astringent like Ketchup^^^. Maybe try Never Dull or Brasso ( silver/brass/metal polishing stuff ). Best of luck! FM

  9. John Cameron Swazye - I was fond of the one where watch was strapped to the tip of a snow ski. FM
  10. "Value added" rods go with the cheap tip top's. FM

  12. Hello Ohio guy, It's hard to believe that a Bass would hit a umbrella rig and be line shy. I am on the fence about invisibility and fluorocarbon lines. Been on it a long time... I fish a lot of fluorocarbon and am very familiar with it quirks. Hates to be kinked or stretched badly. I found that out after picking out a (many) few bird nests. I like Fluorocarbon for it's sinking ability and the sensitivity. How much those apply to throwing big (several oz) swim baits. Probably not much. Monofiliment is much more forgiving all around and if it were me, I'd maybe do some experimenting with Fluorocarbon. I would not use a cheaper off brand if I am planning on throwing 40-100$ baits. Invisx, Tatsu, Diawa Samurai. Talk to them on swim bait nation. Gut instinct for me - Stay with the Big Game, Maybe try Sunline Natural in that 20-25# class. Tight lines and Slaunch Donkey pictures to ya, FM
  13. You found us, Mississippi. FM
  14. Sounds like wolf packs of Bass. They are in fall feeding mode on shad would be my guess. Try using a underspin and a small 2.5" - 3" Keitech swim bait as a trailer. I prefer the regular swing impact or ez shiner because it is less bulky and allows the underspin to sink faster. Another thing to try would a a top water walking bait like a Zara spook or Strike King Sexy dawg. FM
  15. Thanks, Newapti5, I bit on that one - two rolls or 20# Smackdown coming. FM
  16. The tree and lights go up the week before Christmas and come down the week after New Years. FM
  17. I'm not supposed to like my Diawa Zillion on my Shimano Expride rod or My Shimano Metanium on my Diawa BLX rod but I do. I also throw deep diving crankbaits on 30# braid with no leader. FM
  18. I got to watch a school of spinner sharks "displaying". We were just off the coast a couple of miles by Port Aransas, TX. It was a least a couple of acres or more and had to be several hundred sharks. They were about 6-7' long sharks. They would come shooting up completely out of the water. Full body length and more, spinning and twisting the entire time they were air born then come crashing back down with a huge splash. We must have seen at least fifty jumps. It was amazing! FM
  19. H & H sells a three pack of just the spinner. I prefer it due to the fact it doesn't have that line pinching 360° rolled line tie. If the bait helicopters on you at all then your line gets damaged in the loop for the line tie. Strike King Redfish magic also has the 180° bend for the line tie. FM
  20. I just ordered four rolls, I've got a couple of spools (JDM) before. I was trying it out to see if it is comparable to Tatsu or Diawa Samurai. It does seem like it is very comparable to Tatsu and Samurai. FM
  21. I did on the 12th. Got a reel and some line coming from Digitaka. $474 total order $35 added on for tariff with the other half covered by Digitaka. . FM
