  1. I'll bet you $50 the winning weight isn't half of what Fork was.
  2. Accent Jacob Wheeler Finesse with the Cavitron blade would be my ultimate buzzbait.
  3. Congrats to Tucker Smith on winning on Lake Fork in his rookie year. This guy has a bright future ahead of him. We have a super quick turnaround as the boys are on the Sabine River this weekend. Prepare for a dink fest. Get those picks in now.
  4. Respectfully - You can't compare him to Jacob Wheeler at this point. Jacob has dominated on multiple circuits for a decade now. Trey's resume just doesn't compare (yet).
  5. Final day to make picks for Fork. Get 'em in!
  6. Cold water fishing is slow and the fish aren't nearly as active as you're used to in the warmer months. I would try jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, small swimbaits on a jighead or underspin, or even dragging a jig around can be effective.
  7. You've got until Wednesday evening to submit your picks for Lake Fork.
  8. Did you ask him if he owns any hats besides that old red Zoom one? I swear that mans been wearing the same hat at every event for the past 5 years. Edit - A quick Google search proves I'm right 😂
  9. One more time for the people in the back. Shout out to the first time winner Paul Marks for taking the W at Hartwell. It really looked like it was Randy Howells to win, but Paul came storming in and took what was his. We are officially halfway through the season and our group top 3 is: Lymanx BeagleDogxxx AlabamaSpotHunter We have 9 days until the slugfest that I'm sure Lake Fork will be. Expect multiple 100+ pound guys and lots of action.
  10. Yamamoto has a lifetime warranty on Senkos. If you ever run out, they will sell you a replacement pack at retail cost.
  11. Are they throwing a spinnerbait?
  12. I loved the footage of Randy yesterday whenever he caught that big one. Randy - *excited* This fish is over 7 pounds Marshall - What weight do you want me to put in Basstrak? Randy - She's skinny. Put 6-8 **Weighs in at 7-15**
  13. I used to be so good at this game until FFS took over. I was in the top 5-7% every year. I had one season in the 97th percentile. Now I struggle to hit 50-60%. I'm glad to see Randy H doing so well. I was so tempted to pick him for this event, but I was afraid because his success on Hartwell was pre-FFS.
  14. For once, I finally have a decent fantasy roster. Lets hope I haven't once again selected the day one all star team that fizzles out.
  15. We are underway at Hartwell. Jay Przekurat is off to a hot start with 16.5 pounds already.
  16. These would be what I was looking for if I wanted high end performance but not the NRX price tag. Dobyns Xtreme Shimano Poison Adrena Megabass Orochi
  17. Hartwell kicks off Thursday morning. Get your picks in by tomorrow night!
  18. What did you smack it against to break the bill?
  19. Zoom Shimmer Shad is goated. Comes in 3, 3.6, and 4.2 inch lengths.
  20. They all work. That being said, Bill Lewis is the best all around. The Red Eye is better for a yo-yo up and down retrieve. It falls while staying upright. Other brands will flutter at random as they fall. Rattlin Raps work well. I caught my PB walleye on one of those. The Jackall ones work really well, but are pricey and I live in pike territory. Same goes for the Lucky Craft ones. The Booyah/Excalibur ones are also a good all around bait.
  21. Glad to see some of you boys absolutely killed it at this event. I certainly did not expect bags this big all event long. Big congrats to Kyle Welcher for absolutely smashing them all weekend. His win by 45lbs 7oz is the largest margin of victory ever in an elite event. Rumor has it he's back out there again today catching another sack. The boys kick it off on Hartwell next Thursday. Start doing your research now.
  22. I've used basically every high end Shimano since the late 90's. Best all around models are the Chronarch D series and the 2013 Metaniums.
  23. Just now seeing this thread. I'll enter my best of the year so far. Rumor has it @A-Jay has a shrine on his bedroom wall with a pack of every colored Senko ever made. PA Largemouth. Came to 4.98 on my scale, we'll call it 5 even for simplicity sake. 5/11.25 x 100 = 44.44
  24. If you're getting frost, then leaving things like reels, rods, and plastic crankbaits outside is a bad idea.
  25. I think I'll survive if Senkos go up 50 cents a pack.
