  1. Thank you! He certainly had some attitude. The base of his antlers were covered in tree shavings so I know he was rubbing a ton. I had 3 decent bucks on my cameras show up the week before season came in with a broken brow tine like that, so there was definitely some fighting going on.
  2. I don't think I ever posted my buck from this year but here he is. Came out during the second day of rifle season and just started feeding through the picked corn field. 236 yards was no problem.
  3. Not a Sitka guy, but I am a First Lite guy. I've been wearing it exclusively for 4 seasons now and haven't had any problems. I can tell you that the First Lite groups on Facebook have been extremely helpful for finding sizes (I would imagine there are Sitka groups as well). FL has reps in there as well as other hunters obviously. Just mention the item you're looking to buy and describe your build (e.g. 5'11, 205lbs) and usually someone will chime in who is a similar size and recommend what works for them. I'm not familiar with how Sitka works, but First Lite does offer free exchanges for sizing.
  4. Unfortunately they do stack the events on back to back weekends a few times a year. My suggestion is to click the green "Following" button at the top of this thread and set it to notifications every time a new post is made in here. Myself (and others) usually try to post reminders whenever there is a quick turn around in events.
  5. I believe this is now the 8th year I've ran the official BassResource fantasy league. Seems crazy that this has been going on this long now.
  6. I know that's not Misery Bay!
  7. The 2025 FF group is now live. Thread is below.
  8. The time has come for the 2025 Fantasy Fishing season to begin. For those unfamiliar, we have been doing this for a few years now as a fun way to compete and have a little fun among all our members. Do you think you have what it takes to take home 1st place for the season? Group Name: BassResource Password: BR2025 We encourage all members to play along. Just pick your anglers prior to each BASS Elite event and share them (or don't) with the group. It's all part of the fun! Here is the link to the official website. https://bassmasterfantasy.com/
  9. This is actually the Shimano R&D department testing out their new prototype DC braking system.
  10. That was from me. I hope you enjoy. The Big Texan color in those original Pit Bosses seemed fitting for a guy in Texas.
  11. Those Shimano jerkbaits look really good.
  12. I just got in from being out of town since Thursday. I will get mine sent out asap. Merry fishmas everyone.
  13. Just once I'd love for them to do an October event on a northern fishery like Champlain where SM and LM both can play.
  14. Their prices aren't as good as other only places is what first turned me away from BPS/Cabelas. Then once the merger happened, they quickly turned their focus to stocking/selling their in house brands and stopped carrying as much of the common, popular brands on the market. In terms of the house brand tackle itself, I find most of it to be cheap, off brand quality. So for that I will do my tackle shopping elsewhere. Now when it comes to hunting/shooting, that's become a different story lately for me. As someone that shoots a lot and goes through a lot of ammo, I'm always looking for the best deal on that. BPS offers free shipping over $50 and that in itself is a huge savings. I've also found that my orders usually arrive in 1-2 days max because they have stores all over that they will ship from.
  15. Which one of them has Livescope?
  16. Ya'll are catching fish?!
  17. Giving this thread a friendly bump. I highly encourage everyone to join in!
  18. Some people just prefer to do things wrong.
  19. I would never fish for money in an event where not everyone competing is on the same body of water. How could anyone prove that they are even at one of the "approved" bodies of water?
  20. Lets gooooo!!!
  21. In all seriousness. When I'm on a cranking bite, its common for me to have a squarebill, DT6, DT10, and rattle trap rod all tied up. If a texas rig or jig bite is the ticket, it's common for me to have a 3/16oz and a 3/8oz version rigged up.
  22. You mean to tell me you guys don't all carry 4 jig rods with you? 1 Green Pumpkin 1 Black Blue 1 PB&J 1 Watermelon
  23. Everyone on here wondering where money comes from should do some research... https://www.bassmaster.com/elite/news/bassmaster-expands-live-coverage-on-fox-fs1-for-2025-season/
  24. I'd imagine this is a dagger in the attempt of burying "that other league" for good. Time will tell if this is for better or worse of BASS and the sport overall.
