  1. @NorthernBasser So you’ve got a mailing list for us to join?
  2. @Crow Horse The Lucky Craft MS (metal scale?) finishes always catch my eye when I see a new one. They’re like little mirrors, changing color at different angles & catch many a bass’s eye on sunny days.
  3. Night fishing - big single Colorado spinnerbait & Jitterbugs.
  4. @Mbirdsley No problem at all!
  5. @Crow Horse I would imagine they mold 2 halves of plastic, sonic or chemically weld them after some assembly (hook & line tie eyes, rattles, etc), sand/deflash seams & then coat the lures with whatever processes they decide gives best appearance they’re after. Anything unique to the luremaker’s processing is likely not to be public knowledge & closely guarded. Some videos for reference:
  6. @Jmurphy87 Love those Dirty Jigs - about the only brand I throw.
  7. @Pat Brown Probably bluegill from ‘23 spawn - they’ll spawn in waves & multiple times in some lakes if the temps are conducive. Any tilapia in this body of water?
  8. Good lord - I’d be surprised if we have an inch south of Indy. Still had open water last week. Bottom dropped out over weekend down to single digits for high & supposed to be near 50°F here in about a week. Fingers crossed, I’ll be fishing in less than 60 days. Probably just jinxed myself. You guys be safe on the roads.
  9. @FishTank No need to order from JDM sites, if that is what you were implying. Search for a Meiho model (from their website) & you should find some plastic container suppliers which have them here in the US. 👍
  10. "There are 3 kinds of lies: lies, d**n lies & statistics."
  11. @AlabamaSpothunter @gimruis I honestly believe it’s their player profiles - athletes through and through but just complete doofuses when it counts. Goes back decades - Irvin still can’t figure out how to behave in public & I’d bet money Leon Lett goes the wrong way driving & in through the out door. Jerry will probably keep on paying them like the moron he is.
  12. One down, one to go. 😂
  13. I use a Plano 3650, with all small dividers inserted on left 2/3rds & no dividers on the right side so I can keep split ring pliers & extra boxes of Owner trebles. Each compartment is labeled using a label maker with waterproof tape which contains hook model & size. Split rings are kept in a 6 fixed compartment 344860, 3 sizes of round & 3 sizes of oval, each compartment labeled same as above. I do not change hooks on the fly while fishing. Hooks & split rings are changed at the house after lures are bought, if at all. Trebles: Split rings: Pliers (2 sizes, both Texas Tackle):
  14. @KP Duty I think I’ve seen the guy before….
  15. Thank Christ our local NBC affiliate got their contract sorted out right before the game yesterday. How convenient. I noticed Jac Collinsworth was shown as part of the crew covering the KC/MIA game. Add one more punchable face to the list. Note: The above scene always makes me laugh to tears when I see it. Poor McLovin.🤣🤣🤣
  16. We’d use bee moth larvae for bluegills, either slip bobber rigs or casting bobbers if they were shallow enough, splitshot weight & Eagle Claw #4 or #6 gold Aberdeen hook. Crickets were usually better but not as durable - they like to bite just the heads off. ETA: no split shot on the casting bobber unless bait refuses to sink, happens more frequently with crickets.
  17. I do not use rattles. Prefer my jigs silent. 🤫
  18. They’re doing it with men’s NCAA basketball games as well. 1/3 of the Big Ten conference games are on Peacock & they’re some of the traditionally better teams to boot. Utter BS. Why conferences even have networks of their own now is beyond me. Nothing but greed involved.
  19. @MN Fisher
  20. I feel sorry for the guy making all of it. 🤣
  21. @Eric 26 Sure, posted this of him about a week ago. Here is one of Easy from earlier this year, coming right up to me.
  22. Kevin is a turd, don’t let the cuteness blind you. He gets onto the bird feeder just to get me outside to hand feed him. He is one of my buds though. He always looks at me straight on, as the pic above shows. Almost as if he’s saying, "You will be hypnotized by my cuteness, hu-man, and you will bring me as many peanuts as you can carry." He also lays his ears back quite often when taking a peanut, as in the last pic. He will often just sit holding the peanut in his mouth, causing a stalemate of me holding onto it & him not pulling away. He’s a character for sure. Easy is my favorite of the males - he comes from a couple of houses away & will look in the windows for me if there aren’t any peanuts outside. He will also just run up to me on sight, especially of a morning.
  23. Almost like Kevin is asking for a napkin to wipe off his paws. Kevin playing peekaboo & finally coming to grab one (of many).
  24. There is no doubt in my mind Collinsworth would have happily given Tom Brady a tongue bath on the 50 yard line. Nothing I despised more than having to listen to him call a Patriots game in which Brady was playing. I’d rather listen to my mom talk to herself than hear Collinsworth’s voice. I’d rather break off 50 PBs at arms length…. ….you get the idea.
