Everybody has named some greats and reminded me of some favorites I've forgotten. Some thoughts not previously mentioned: I really like Chick Corea on the ivorys. Elvis for wigglin around and drivin the crazy Clarence Carter for havin more fun with lyrics than outta be legal Tony Joe White for inventin swamp music And since I'm from the Music City.....the grandpa of country music Mr Hank Williams How can we leave out Ms Billie Holliday Mr Ray Charles on keyboards combining country and rock & roll And an honorable mention to the late Harry Carey for singin "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch at Wrigley
  3. I'm gonna tell a true story with a little embellishment (Happened this past summer) why a snoopy rod and reel is the best value.... Dad buys 4 yr old son a snoopy rod and reel......$10.00 4 year old boy gets free snoopy rod and reel and is very excited......priceless Dad takes boy fishin off the dock with new snoopy rod and reel......more priceless Boy catches 4 lb largemouth with new rod.....even more priceless Boy now is smiling ear to ear holding up fish almost as big as he is.........now that my friends is VALUE!!!!! Pflueger, Shimano, Daiwa, Quantum, Abu.....it's all good but how can you beat the value of that snoopy set up for that boy.... Moral of the story .........the value is in the fishin, the tools are just the tools My apologies to the bait monkey........think I'll go to BPS tomorrow....Hmmmm, should I buy shimano or pflueger..... :
  4. I like the Pettite deal. He still has to pass a physical. Agreed he seems to have lost something since the injury but last year was better and he still will be formidable. He also knows how to play in NY which is a big plus. With Pettite, Mussina, Wang, Johnson, Pavano and Igawa the odds are pretty good for a solid rotation. We also now have some promising young wings in waiting. I for one am glad we were quiet in free agency except for bringing Andy home. This team should have a better than average chance at #27......
  5. I have been using the Bandit 100, 200 etc series and like them just fine. I have recently bought some Rapala DT's and am going to start giving those a try also. Either way you can't go wrong, the Bandits are a bit less expensive so it doesn't hurt as much when one dissappears.
  6. Careful there Muddy........you are subject to arrest, understand one of the deputies will be taking you in to custody in a couple months!
  7. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. And what does he really do when he decides to go in the green monster???????
  10. I am not only thankful for all we have....we are a truely blessed nation....not perfect but blessed. I am also thankful we have the ability to have diverse opinions, discuss them and ultimately vote to voice them. Changes come slowly but we evolve, mistakes are made and corrected, decisions are made and changed, some bigger than others depending on differing points of view, sometimes corrections and changes come slowly, sometimes they are very costly and painful, they are always passionatly debated, and in the end we remain a great country that has the ability to adjust (albeit slowly) which is a wonderful thing..........JMHO
  11. A wise man once came upon the realization that a man can spend alot of money catchin them fishies!
  12. I hope the Red Sox sign Bonds.... Whoops....sorry Norm, couldn't help myself!
  13. Andy could be back in pinstripes (see below link).....I like this more than anything else out there free agent wise......I'm glad we're staying quiet for now, we really don't need to do much. With the pitchers we have, plus maybe Igawa and Pettite and the young guns waiting in the wings we are in pretty good shape. I hope we keep Bernie this year, he really proved he was a player and a true Yankee last year. http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20061205&content_id=1751436&vkey=news_nyy&fext=.jsp&c_id=nyy
  14. LBH, your videos are always fun and outstanding.......this one is no exception....thanks for doing all you do!
  15. Some girls at Austin Peat had T Shirts made that said "Show me your Peay....Ness" Cajun, Best of luck at Weber State.......be careful if you decide to become a mascot!
  16. Might be better than the Big Units assisted living facility
  17. Hey guys....here's something we'll all get a HEE HAW out of....found it on ESPN's site: "The agent also said that Barry Bonds would much rather stay in San Francisco than sign with Oakland. "He doesn't want to drive across the Bay, he doesn't want to play in a dilapidated stadium, and he doesn't want to wear the white shoes," the agent said." I'd like to see him in the girl clothes that he wore in spring training with the white shoes
  18. Oh well.........guess we'll have to wait for some of those Tiger cubs to grow up and adopt them
  19. Just curious, I have a Viento and basically liked the twitchin bar gimmick for jigs and worms. Cranks and spinnerbaits don't lend themselves to the twithin bar, not that its not a nice reel without using the bar just wondering why, as a worm and jig rod would be a pretty different choice than a crank or spinnerbait rod. In any event I would think about this, a tad over budget but well worth it as this rod retails much higher. http://cgi.ebay.com/G-Loomis-Crankbait-Rod-CBR843-New_W0QQitemZ230059500264QQihZ013QQcategoryZ36149QQcmdZViewItem
  20. I'll bring a Yankee t-shirt for Muddy and Norm
  21. Glad to have you guys aboard.......lookin forward to the new video!
  22. C-rig, just feel intimidated by it so it's not really my least favorite, just have not really given it a chance. I think I will give it a go next season....it would be a great member challenge for me.
  23. Mistakes will always happen and if one learns from them.......sincere apologies should be accepted......apology accepted.
  24. I am another stradic fan. I have really enjoyed mine.
