How long can a person hold a bass out of the water
Whatever you do don't follow Iaconelli he is a great fisherman, but he holds his fish out of the water for long periods of times.

Pitching Problem
I agree with Chris you should first worry about a straight fall so you can get the bite. Also you can watch the slack line so if they bite it on the way down the line will twitch.

Senko and a bobber?
For the most part you let the worm just sit and shake doing its own action. If you don't get a strike after letting the worm sit in one spot either reel it in a little bit or throw it back out to another location. The technique is best when their is at least some wave action to keep the worm moving down below the bobber.

Senko and a bobber?
huskertko..... What happens is in order to keep a wacky rigged senko out of the weeds, rocks, snags, and whatever else you want to keep your bait out of. Rig up a wacky rigged senko with a slip bobber to stop the bait so it sits above the weeds or whatever you want to fish the top of. If you don't have slip bobbers you can use regular bobbers or take the hooks of a popper and add an extra line coming out the back of the lure.

where do you find crawfish?
Hey, as for finding crawdads use a flashlight and go at night looking in the rocky areas.

Senko and a bobber?
I used a popper and fished it over a boat ramp that nobody uses, but fish are always hanging around the ramp. I was fishing with a 3-4 foot leader.

Senko and a bobber?
I tried fishing it over a some structure after I read the article, but no fish yet. It does sound like something that could be deadly.

Reaction bites
Crankbaits are one of the easiest baits for bass to throw, especially when they jump. My advice is to do whatever it takes to keep that fish from jumping like sticking your rod tip down in the water to pull the fish down when it feels like he might jump.

Question about midday fishing...
Either a finnesse worm or tube both rigged with a jighead.

Uncle Buck's Pond Prowler
Dirt bike and motorcycle trailers, I would of never thought of that. They look perfect though, thanks for the help!

Re: What have you caught on accident?
I caught some bullfrogs while fishing a sumo frog over some slop, never seen them until it was to late. Unfortunately the bass didn't bite.

Uncle Buck's Pond Prowler
Just another question, for now I drive a car that is to small to fit the boat inside, but a small trailer sounds like the right choice. Where could I find a cheap trailer to haul the boat around on?

Many 'Spike-It' Guys?
I always color my jig trailers mainly with chartreuse, but sometimes I get crazy and use chartreuse, red, black, blue, and orange all on a little crawdad trailer. Another bait that I like to dye are senkos which I dye the end tip chartreuse.

Baitfish everywhere!!!
If you run a bigger spinnerbait through the shad then the shad will get stirred triggering the bass to start feeding. I did this at a tournament when their were thousands of shad so we would stir them up, once they got stirred up bass would start busting and any kind of topwater caught the bass.

Fishing the gunk along the shoreline
Yes, the scum frog would be a great choice, and it sounds like the gunk is thick enough I wouldn't worry about what the frog looks like since the fish will only sense something is up on top of the gunk. Be sure to have a follow up bait prepared to stick in the holes after you get a strike. Another option for fishing the gunk would be to texas rig a soft plastic with a pegged weight 1/4 oz. or bigger that doesn't have alot of legs or arms which will penetrate the gunk easily. If needed you may want to cast the lure upward and then let the lure gain momentum on the fall to punch through the gunk.

Fishing in very warm weather?
Look for current that will bring cooler water, food, and oxygen to the fish. Like others have mentioned fish the shady side of cover.

Uncle Buck's Pond Prowler
Does anyone have any personal expierences with the Uncle Buck's Pond Prowler? How steady is the little boat for standing up and fishing? I am thinking about buying a used one and adding a casting/flipping deck to it, but I want to make sure it is sturdy before buying one.

boat fishing vs. shore fishing
When fishing for fun I am stuck on the bank, but I am looking at purchasing a small pond prowler or jon boat for many reasons... 1) So I can get to more lures that I get snagged (Especially deep running crankbaits) 2) So I can get to more places on a lake to fish that are not accesible from land 3) Fishing deep water and off-shore structure with the help of a depth finder. 4) Get practice running a trolling motor

Contact Fishing
I also hear you Fishguy, and boy sometimes it gets real sore.

shad
This time of the year most shad will still be small. It will be hard, but try and match a lure with the size of the shad.

Melting plastic lures to reuse...

Melting plastic lures to reuse...
I use a pyrex measuring cup and microwave to melt them down.

fishing condition question
After a cold front blows through the fish will be hugging the cover. It usually pays to downsize your baits and work them slower to get the bites.

Why do fish "yawn?"
I am also going to guess they are either eating something or it serves some purpose of breathing.
