I'm an ex-smokers also. Quit 17 years ago before the big tobacco settlement pushed the price up. I don't think I could afford to smoke now. I started when you could buy a carton for 15 bucks. Thankfully I don't smoke anymore. About 2 weeks ago I was talking to a friend who smokes and he told me they are raising the price of cigarettes again by $1 a pack to make up for my states inability to stop spending.

I wish we had something like that near me. I'd be 50 lbs heavier and 100 bucks lighter.

For me confident fishing means fishing slow with flipping and pitching techniques. Its spending time on the water, reading the conditions & changing when you need to change.

I noticed that on this website they show some of the actions for these rods with the letter R. I know F = Fast and XF = Extra Fast but what does R stand for? Regular?

Here in PA a guy caught the state record smallmouth out of a lake that supposedly didn't have smallmouths in it. The fish & boat commission guys had to go and confirm that there were smallmouths in the lake.

Two stories, one about my friend and one about me. A couple of years ago a friend and myself were up at Black Lake in NY. We were talking in his boat while he was throwing a frog and he told me the first time he fished a frog he keep missing fish and finally he noticed that he never took off the clear plastic tubing around the hooks. As he tells me this a bass hits his lure and he misses the fish. He reels in the frog and, sure enough, he has the clear plastic tubing still on the hooks. I still bust him about that. Now my story, when I first started to fish for bass I was using a worm like a zoom flluke only faster. The worm barely hit the water and I was reeling as fast as I could thinking the fish would catch up to it eventually. I think I only got one bite that way by shear luck.

No one suggested Bigfoot feet prints. That was my first guess.

Congrats on the wins dude. A 6-1 LMB is a big bass for just fun fishing..hope you remember where you released that one for future reference.

I haven't had any luck on finesse worms on a shakey head. This is my first year using them and I waited till the dead of summer to try it hoping the subtle approach would catch me bass when nothing else will. I've been using zooms trick worm and zmans finesse worm but so far nothing. I've tried a spot remover and mega strikes shakey heads and so far zip. I'll keep trying till the fall.

I'm pretty sure its not legal (in any state) to leave a rod & reel with fishing line and a baited hook in the water unattended. If it was in Pennsylvania the fish commission warden would have every right to take the rod and reel but he definitely would not have left the fishing line in the water.

Is that a Zoom U-tail worm in the vid? I didn't think they floated seeing as they have lots of salt in them. The comments on the video don't tell what brand worm it is.

Love those Booyah jigs. Got a bunch of them myself. The Gamakatsu hooks are great for the price. I can't afford Trokars prices so Gamakatsu is just as good as far as I'm concerned.
