Lews speed spool LFS vs. SLP
Like Catt said, stick to the aluminum framed reels for more durability. The slp reels are made in aluminum and graphite so be sure to check the specs.

Lews speed spool LFS vs. SLP
I like the lfs over the slp for comfort. The slp is too small for me. The pre lfs reels like the original tournament pro are one of the most comfortable reels in my my hands.

I tell y'all what!
Can anyone else give an opinion on how invizx compares to sunline sniper?

DAIWA's spool tension recommendation. FOOEY!
I too prefer a little bit of spool tension. It allows me to back off the brake dial and get better distance.

Anyone throw Pink Worms or baits as a first choice or consistently?
Bubblegum flukes are my go-to lure when I can’t seem to get bit on anything. Funny thing is that I never use them when the fish are biting something else. I guess I like having an ace in the hole.

3 steps to cheap & effective braid/everything scissors
$14 pocket knife or cheaper discount store scissors work for me but I better those shears are really handy in the boat.

Berkeley Big Game vs. Stren Original monofilament
I used to be a stren user but I switched to big game about the same time I switched to sunline sniper for bottom contact lures. Big game now feels like a rubber band to me and I’m thinking of going back to stren just to see if stren is actually better or if my perception of nylon mono as a whole has changed. i have one reel spooled in sunline defier based on wrb’s recommendation of it and to be honest it is way better than big game but obviously cost more. Line price is not a major influence to me considering how much I spend on rods. I think quality lines that help me detect bites is a must have for my rigs .

What kind of line to do you normally T-rig?
I never lost a fish on Tatsu but it did seem to break off easily when I was snagged. I stick with sunline sniper 14-20lb for bottom contact presentation.

Another ALX thread - worth the hype?
They are very well built and high quality for the $ but sensitive is not an attribute of alx rods in my opinion.

E6X bashing
It’s probably because the $200 rod cheapens the value of the $500-650 Loomis rod’s. Lol

Setup for Zoom Super Fluke?
7’2” mh Falcon Cara Mike McClelland casting rod. Its tip is soft enough for long cast and has enough backbone to set the hook.

Line for jig/t-rig fishing (no braid)
I think sniper is very good and reasonably priced. Tatsu is softer/more manageable but I don’t think it holds up to abuse as well as sniper and cost twice as much. I have heard good things about abrazx and invizx but have never tried them.

What are some good Rods in the $180-$220 Range
Falcon Cara Head Turner and/or Lizard Dragger would be my choice.

Shorty Rod For Pitching?
Yes but I’m used to it. I think their weight / oz ratings are on the money but the wording may be 1/2 power or so off. I typically pitch 3/8 jigs or 1/4 tx-rig with the head turner and I have other falcons for 1/2 and up.

Shorty Rod For Pitching?
Falcon head turner.

Upgrading my frog rod (Dobyns)
The full grip is probably needed to balance the rod.

Can't stop watching this!
You can sell we at least 3 fish in the clip. Pretty cool. Or should I say pretty cold?

Best hollow body frog?
I had trouble with spro’s taking on to much water and switched to booyah and have been very pleased so far.

Texas Rig Rods?! Medium vs MH
To me the rod needs to present the lure and ultimately set the hook. If med works then you are all set. If not then you may need to step up or down as needed.

Frog rod under 7'
I have used a 6’10” H falcon bucoo micro and a 7’ H Hammer with great success. Plenty of length for casting distance but short enough for skipping and working the lure with the rod tip down(walking the lure). most fisherman seem to prefer longer rods for frogs but they don’t work for my needs.

Are Lews Speed Sticks Equal to the Talk?
They use a reel seat similar to the fuji acs and they just don’t fit my hand.
