If you are around long enough it might be possible for you to sit down and have a conversation with a bass as they become more educated, but until then it's up in the air.

It's a huge problem here in Northern Ca. People fishing with 5 or 10 rods. No license. Keeping every thing they catch big-small. It don't matter to them and when they get busted there charged a fine that they never pay. Some do jail time but are back at it as soon as there out. I'v seen them selling fish out of the backs of pickups. I'v called fish and game but there streched so thin its rediculis. to tell the truth I havent seen a game worrdon in 2 years.

Just relaxs Before the filming ask the host for advice he is a pro at it after all. He sould promt you. tri and prep youself by speaking in front of some gropes of people. the more you do it the easier it becumes. Do the pre fishing confgedence is every thing. but if the fishing dosent go well keep you chin up and talk about the sport and how it has affected your life. You will be fine. hope it works out

I think i'm just taking thing just a little bit to serious. ;D NA........ He just had the MoJo last week and a difrent rattle trap thats it I just need some more and better baits. Hey any one else smell that......................................... Kinda smells like wet monky................ When I feel the tap tap I reel down and as soon as I feel the wait of the fish I set the hook hard and fast. always make sure your hooks are sharp and of good quality. I know that that pack of 500 hooks for 2 bucks look good but way not worth losing a big fish over . anuther thing make sure you have a good line to much stretch will kill the best hook set.

My P/B is 8 lb Wish I had a pic. I was out in this little cut in the delta where the water treatment plant discharges its water. It was mid May around noon-1 o,clock i was fishing a 4" watermelon sinko when I seen this 14" bass about 15 feet out in abot 6 feet of water i cast out about 4 feet in front of her and watched as she chaest it. But at the last moment she darted left. I coulent see my bait any more when my line started going right i'm thinking she came back so i reel down to give her my best Bill Dance hook set BAM i set the hook but my rod tip just stayed where it started and drag was peeling off my reel. I'm like I don't understand then the water at the end of my line just exploded. I had to play her for about 10 min I had no net and was 8 feet up in a near verticale bank. I managed to get her around to a spot I could lip her. i let her go after a few min of just looking at her. just couldent beleve how big it looked or how lucky I was.. 8lb on my fatfull delire... Now the bigest bass I'v ever seen was at the same spot 2 years ago it was holding in the curent of the discharge pipe 2 feet down. I swaer it was 15-20 lb if it was a OZ All i had was a cheape 6' spin cast rod, 10lb test line and purple zipper worm. I fished for it for 10 or 15 min but I know that if I hooked it there was no way I'd of gottin it to the bank.

I have one and like it. I got the one with the big base unit. i have used it to find all kinds of bottm structer and where the fish are hiding the only down side is the big base unit is hard to drag around with you. I plan on using it on a kick boad soon. But all and all I'm happy with it J/M

Yes, It's posible that they cleaned out your pond. depending on the size of the pond. 50lbs if bass is 25 2 lb fish. I fish some plases that if you took 6 fish the place would be wiped out. and who knows how many times thats happend. Black bass are a Asin delicusy. They sell them in alot of the asin stores around here for 5 bucks a lb. They will tell you that thay are pen raised But can't you see a small store incresing its profits by traping fish or by having family outing once a week till there all gone and then moving on.. Unfortainately I beleve thats what has happend to some ponds I fish. Last year I could go out and knock them all day. Nice bass to 2-5lbs and 15 or 20 a day. Then I went back to work and couldent fish much. Well I went back this year and I can't buy a fish out of them. Not just me but the other regulers that fish it.

BE scared be very Scared. Its a horrable time of year. You will sharpen all your hooks to the barb your famile will want to sent you to the nut house. You freinds will avoid you like the plage fishing will consume you. The bait monky will fallow you around like a lost dog. you will find your self on a bank in the freezing cold throwing lures in the ice and not know how you got there . Then spring comes and your all better ;D

AMEN I had this very talk with all my kids. (All of us should before PETA dose) my oldest seen a stray cat eating road kill. She was mad at the cat. I explaned to her and my youngest two thats how the world works. Animals are animals and thats what they do . Its not wrong and that animals have no real sence of life and death love or hate. Just eat, survive and reperduce.

I'm betting that the slashs your hearing are carp to. Go with the pond it's given up some good fish. Now if you target just the bigger ones I'm betting you will get the 7+lb bass your after.

When i was a kid it was all about gills ,catfish and the striped bass. My dad would take us trout fishing all the time. I fished that way untill about 3 years ago when I turned 34. Then one day bam I was hooked. All it took was one small bass on a rattle trap and i havent looked back since ;D

I hate PETA. There a evil groop of people who need a dose of reality......... Or a good a$$ kicken Thats all I got to say about that. The size limit thing is a good idea if the lakes over poplated.

I'm out about once a week some times twice for about 2 hours. Then one all day trip once a month. I work nighty shift so its hard to balance family, work and fishing. last summer I was out of work and I fished 3-4 times a week and spent lots off time with the wife and kids.

Don't feel so bad. I once had a little honey hole. it was realy small about 200 feet long, 25 feet accrost and the deepest spot was 6 feet deep. Just a wide spot in a small creek I happend apon. but i could pull some 2lb bass and some huge crappy out of it. Well some yaho seen me fishing and askes if i was rely catching any thinh out of there. just then Bam mt little roster tail got slamed and it was a 2lb bass. the next week i went out there 3 guys where fishing it trash every where and not a fish in sight. Some one had come along with some night crawlers and cleaned it out. then left the boxes and beer bottls there to boot. I was gonna tell the guy I was only catching blue gill and small ones at that.

Any where in the Calif Delta. But I worn you its hotter than well you know where here. But the fishing is always good here..
