Oh there are tackles in soccer, and they tend to be more violent than football because they have more momentum coming into them.

Some of us don't make huge salaries, and yes Shimano,while being excellent reels do not give those of us in the lower end the value for the buck that Pflueger,BPS and certain Cabela's reels give. I also want to put aside they don't last as long or work as well as Shimano Products. With several years experience with the Pflueger Products, as well as several of my friends The Pfluegers have very few issues and maintaince and repair is very available. Muddy, To that list ABU is coming out with some good looking new low profile stuff that is similar to the REVO...and you can tell I voted ABU. ;D

I see that it is a 9 inch long bait but how heavy is it? Looks like a great topwater bait for some hawgz! Corey

I agree completely, jig fishing requires quick reactions and hooksets at the slightest detection of a bite(thanks HawgHunter). Worm or soft palstic fishing to me,, gets more small panfish bites and often time I will let them run with it a couple feet to ensure a solid hookset. To me fishing the 2 is different also, but thats a different thread also. Corey

I will add that I tried some 10/2 power pro and its abrasion resistance is terrible and breaks often if not retied. But the diameter of the line is so small that is bound to happen. Also did you check your rod guides....not sure if that was mentioned. Otherwise send it back to Power Pro with a 40 foot section, chances are they will replace it. I have nothing but good to say about the line and their customer service. I had a bad spool(150 yards) and in return I got a new 300 yard spool.

While there isnt much fishing in 32 degree weather I would be much more comfortable in 32 degrees than 100. I thought 88 and sunny this weekend was a little tough but still got out and caught a few fish. When it is high 80s and 90s I try to get out 3 or 4 hours in the morning and the same right before dark.

Do you think a bass knows how big or how long it is? Hmmm...I am only 8 inches so I should only eat 4 inch baits?!?!?!

Yep just threw up, and I wont 2 of those ingredients on their own yet together.

I saw this last night, printed out 2 copies today at work, stuck one on my cork board and put one in my wallet. Next time I think I am having a bad day, I will look at that picture and be grateful for a hell of a lot of things...one being a father who is still with me and another being that boys father. :-/

To me the greenish markings look somewhat similar to the smallie that Fish CHris caught a couple months back. I havent seen many largemouth that are that color with that sort of markings, but I am not fisheries biologist either.

You got it young man! ****** a few more over there on the left coast . I too usually don't mention the 'skunk days' but neither do I fish for "10 hours". Hardcore Basser for sure Chris. Dan Same here, Chris you have way more perseverance that I do, I can fish for 10 hours a day but not if I am getting a skunk put on me.

I tried using a leader at Lake Vermillion fishing for smallies, where as I normally use straight braid. After the leader snapped after a day and a half I used straight braid and noticed no difference fishing weightless plastics for smallies in clear water. However that was the only time I have done it because the water I normally fish is dingy...on a good day.

My guess would be it snapped the line and then digested the jighead. I caught a bass with a hook coming out of the anus and a split shot and worm completely hanging out. It happens.

The spool I got had the memory and castability of tie wire :-X I was not impressed at all and agree with RW's statement.

NOthing like catching big bass on topwater baits 8-) Hopefully I get out to a few ponds this weekend to give it a shot. Nice fish and the tackle...sigh...makes me want to break out the wallet. Corey

I had that problem with a 150 yard spool and I got rid of the line, got new line, informed Power Pro...and they took care of it. 1 week later I had a 330 yard spool on the doorstep and havent had problems since. There are occassional bad batches like anything, just inform them and they should take care of you.

Booyah buzzbaits and Ribbits. Although up in MN for smallies I had a blast fishing a Hula Popper. I am similar to the guy mentioned before, have never seen a topwater I didnt want to throw.

When I was fishing up in MN I noticed that the butt cap on my bionic blade felt a little loose. Well by the end of the trip I could easily pull it out of the housing. It should be a simple fix but I was wondering if anyone with experience or a rod builder could reccomend some sort of glue or epoxy to use to secure it back in. Thanks in advance. Corey
