1. Love both of my Revos, the S and SX. I have the SC on the way and am actually looking forward to seeing what the lower level reels are like for my little brother, girlfriend, etc. And RW are you sure that saying isnt: "There's an old saying in Tennessee I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says, fool me once, shame on shame on you. Fool me you can't get fooled again." ;D Corey

Yep I liked Tom Glavine since I was young because he was involved off the field(and not like Pacman or Vick) and he shut up and got it done. Congrats to him for a great accomplishment.
3. Good going, and I learned the same thing from FC about C&R when a gentleman caught the same 6+ lb fish out of a pond I fish, and then I caught her a month later. SHe was my best fish in the past 3 years and I sent him a big thanks. GOod to hear you enjoy the new rod too because that is my next purchase. That fish looks fairly skinny, tell her to eat a little more and she may hit 5 next year!
4. I hope there is an asterisk next to the record and I hope A-Rod(who I cant stand), Pujols, or Howard breaks it in the next ten years. > One thing is Barry Bonds will never be celebrated or admired like Hank Aaron, Frank Robinson, Willie Mays, or the other old timers who played the game the way it was meant to be played.
5. My only beef with the S is opening and closing the sideplate, otherwise I love it. But normally its 3 in and 3 out so I dont have to do it that often.
6. I would not hesitate in a minute to pay $100 for that reel, or even the SX at $150. Buying those 2 reels has really made fishing much more enjoyable. Go for it
7. Revo SX-L, I would go with the 6.3:1 for spinners and buzzbaits. And it has the external adjustment so there is no need to open the sideplate.
8. 4.5-5.5?
9. While it may not be the most accepted thing on the board there are alot worse things he could be doing. If he is staying in the limits and within the law, then so be it. That and no one knows the body of water he is fishing and whether or not it needs to have some sleective harvest. Ive fished places before that had lots of nice fish, but lots of nice skinny fish and a big case of bigheaded bass(and a spine with no meat). I am in the same boat as Lane but once again it is just a fish, and selective harvest isnt a bad thing no matter how much it pains someone to think about a bass under the knife. It is aj ust a fish, and once you start humanizing fish it starts to take on the PETA stance IMO. Fish die, it happens, and alot more than you see on the boards. Yeah he could keep some smaller fish but its his right to keep them and also he has the same right to post his story as anyone else here. Either way nice fish, keep at it but maybe take a picture outside or something to keep some of the more sensitive members at peace Corey
10. This is also great when shore fishing and trying to run a BB right along a weed edge or the edge of some moss
11. Some scent neutralizer and also a little bottle sprayer thing to check the wind...the techinical term has slipped my mind.
12. These things are getting so bad in the IL river that there is a "Redneck Fishing Derby" where people drive their boats around with nets hanging out, etc. and wait for these fish to jump. They are an absolute menace and will destroy waters faster than a common carp, which is also a nuisance fish...just ask any biologist. Kill every one you see is what I was told.
13. Lots of good advice but make a plan, set aside certain (to be figured out by you) percentages to go toward things such as savings, retirement, bills, future bills, and then pay yourself. Those are the categories that me and my girlfriend have seeperated and it is working out great on all ends. Even if you want to spend $300 on tackle or what not teach yourself to save up for it instead of just buying it because you want it now. That habit gets more people in trouble and I tend to see society's lack of saving and overage of spending on a daily basis.
14. Guys I had a quick question, what is the easiest and safest way to accept a money order on an ebay transaction. I have not sold much on there and normally use paypal however the winning bidder is asking if they can send a money order? Thanks. Corey
15. Very funny, you knew how I felt about the pics >
16. Anyone involved in dog fighting is sick and should be punished. Anyone who can't see the difference between hunting and dog fighting should be smacked, to knock the cobwebs out. I completely agree, the 2 are so different although the outsiders see them as the same. Everyone that complains about deer hunting would compalin 10 fold without it and the damage to vehicles. Corey
17. It is the quality of fish is awesome for this area. It has a ton of big fallen trees, 50 foot ones that are bigger than you could reach around. Had a lot of duckweed but the buzzbait worked right through that. We did not pattern fish at all as they were biting everywhere, in the trees, under the duckweed, in the shallow coves...it was one of the most violent topwater bites I have ever seen and I can wait to go again, but earlier.
18. Looks arent everything, at least thats what my mom tried to teach me growing up Id be interested to see a review on them though from unbiased persons.
19. Nice fish Dan and I was wondering the same thing about the full moon the way the fish were biting Saturday morning. Maybe aI should pay more attention to it Either way nicely done.
20. Well went out to a pond this morning with a buddy, got there about 7:20am. Got the canoe out and first cast into a fallen tree with the buzzbait and a fish explodes out of the water. She misses it but about 10 feet later comes up and hammers it again...nice fish on! She was about 3 lbs or so, and the action started. The wind made it tough in a canoe with only one paddle...but boy was it fun. We caught 25-30 fish between the 2 of us and all but 2 of them were over 2 lbs, I didnt catch one under 2.5. Had 3 doubles, all nice fish...and had a crazy ordeal. My buddy hooked a nice fish in the shallow end, fought it for maybe 15 seconds before it came unbuttoned. I cast out to the same place not expecting a bite, and right at the canoe where this fish got off it errupts from the water inhaling my buzzbait while crashing into the side of the canoe I freaked out, fought her for about a minute after she made a good run, then landed her. She was the biggest at 20.5" although the pictures dont do any of the fish justice. All healthy fish and alot of missed bites and lost fish. After the topwater bite died I tried a worm, a tube, a creature, no bites. Regardless it was some of the heaviest and highest quality buzzbait action I have been on. Here are a few pics of some of the fish, we should of taken more pics but it was hurry up release the fish and catch another
21. T- rigged worm, and a big one at that (10"). Spinnerbait has been great on those days too, but if there is moss or any sort of vegetation Ill throw a frog first.
22. Good video but I kept waiting to see Lightning Rod and never saw him.
23. The banjo minnow, and I actually trusted Bill Dance as a kid, but not anymore >
24. I try to get out about half hour before sunrise because that is when you can actually see and normally the best topwater bite of the day. Sometimes old Mr. Busch and his cousins make it a little later. :
25. Had no problem emailing a response and both the jigs and the buzzbaits look sweet 8-)
