  1. It works, but Pflueger is excluded from the sale.
  2. The TA Instagram caption says a full ounce less than the Curado DC. The DC weighs 7.8 oz. according to TW.
  3. I know this reel isn’t out in the wild yet, but can someone explain how this may compare to the daiwa tatula sv? Still learning the differences between all of the daiwas and am overwhelmed.
  4. DC. To be fair my last two times out I only fished a couple hours in the canal at low muddy levels.
  5. I have tomorrow afternoon off work so I am planning to fish as well. Still haven’t decided where. I need to catch something as I have been skunked my last three trips!
  6. I keep reading this thread title as “small swimbait shootout” and it inspired me to order a few of the different ones mentioned in this thread that I haven’t tried yet. I am going to have my own small swimbait shootout.
  7. Yeah, I checked out the areas between Fletcher’s and lock 5.
  8. Gambler little ez
  9. I explored the canal this weekend without much luck. The water levels were really low (some places were just a trickle) and the water clarity was close to chocolate milk. I had one really hard bite and set the hook and my 8 lb leader instantly snapped. Not sure if it was a bass or not.
  10. Academy (online) has Booyah Toadrunners for $1.99.
  11. Z-man does make an elaztech grub called Z-man Grubz. Tackle Warehouse has them.
  12. I wish they had free shipping.
  13. Not a huge sale, but Sierra has free shipping no minimum order with code FREESHIP today only. They carry a lot of odds and ends fishing gear and apparel.
  14. I think I am going to start with some of the parks along the Potomac and it’s tributaries.
  15. Haha, treble hooks seem extra dangerous with a snakehead thrashing around so I was planning to keep my beloved topwaters at home. I hadn’t thought of jaw spreaders.
  16. I want to take advantage of the upcoming Memorial Day sales to stock up on some snakehead gear. I have never fished for them before, but I have done some research. Would love to hear from people with experience targeting them. Can I get by with a Mojo bass slop n’ frog rod (7’hf | 3/8 – 1 1/2oz) and original Tatula 100 spooled with 65lb braid? thinking of stocking up on: toads frogs chatterbaits buzzbaits a pair of fish grips Any tips or specific lures/gear/colors are appreciated.
  17. I could see Guy Fieri using the Fire model.
  18. If you want to throw bigger swimbaits the 13 fishing defy black swimbait rod is pretty affordable at $80. There will probably be a Memorial Day sale soon too. I have no experience with the rods, but a guy I know uses one and is happy with it. They have an 8’H rated 4–8 oz. & an 8’XH rated 8–14 oz. on Tackle Warehouse.
  19. I think I recall Tackle Advisors on YouTube mentioning the Fuego LT having flexing issues.
  20. I lost a brand new whopper plopper 110 about 20’ from shore on Saturday. Was trying to retrieve it right next to a fallen tree and the treble got stuck. Spent like ten minutes trying to get it free.
  21. How do you guys rig your toads?
  22. American Legacy has 50% off bulk spools of Daiwa J-Braid x8. 1500 yards - prices range from $65–$75 depending on test. Dark green and multicolor
  23. Thanks, that is awesome. I’m down to meet up one day.
