Am I an idiot or can I not figure out how to buy a FLW membership?
@JFlynn97, I think you should use one of the "contacts" listed on the FLW website. If you go to the "CONTACT US" part of the website you'll see many contacts. This is what they have for their website: Technical Questions For questions pertaining to website technical difficulties, please use the following contact information: webmaster@flwfishing.com

Black Grape vs Gooseberry
@Revival, Go to the Zoom Bait Company (zoombait.com) website to see the colors. Junebug looks like it has bigger flakes than Gooseberry. Black Grape has no flakes.

Is This Rod Still Usable?
The BPS 2010 catalog states that the Johnny Morris Signature Series rods had Fuji Concept Titanium Frame SiC guides. Your picture looks like there's some stuff on the tip top (or maybe he tried fixing/replacing it himself). Maybe you should try cleaning it first, then check for damage. Maybe one of the BR members who build rods can weigh in on how to clean the tip top or check for damage.

Split Ring Pliers are Too Big for Smaller Split Rings
I use Sampo split ring pliers that I bought from a local tackle store. I needed some for size 3 split rings. The guy let me try them out to make sure they were what I needed before I bought them (a good reason to go to your local tackle store). I just tried them with size 2 split rings and they seem to work. Here's a photo of my "back up" pair. Keep your existing pliers for larger split rings.

Lure ID help
I think it might be the Berkley version. The Berkley version has a "dorsal fin". I don't think the Storm has one. Cabela's also made a "Livin' eye" swimbait that looked like the Berkley version.

Nice action. How do you design that into the lures you create? Is it related to the lure's center of gravity?

Stroke victims
@Maxximus Redneckus, I had a stroke about 5 years ago. Was in acute therapy for 10 days relearning how to stand up, then relearning how to walk. Also had to relearn how to use my left arm and hand. Had to do three months of out-patient PT and OT, some of which I had to pay for myself because insurance wouldn't cover it. Couldn't drive for 3-4 months. The Therapists will teach you exercises to work on at home. This was a full-time job. If people visit you, ask them to do the exercises with you, or go for a walk with you. Don't let them waste your recovery time. Most of my recovery was during the first 6 months, then it slows down (but still continues to this day). Activities the therapist had me do for motor skills: 1) Work on finger strength using something called theraputty. Basically moving the putty around using just your fingers. 2) Putting pegs in a peg board. 3) Screwing nuts on to bolts. 4) Typing. Fishing activities that I thought would help work on arm and hand skills: 1) I turned the handle on a spinning reel a little bit every day. 2) I practiced tying knots! It takes patience, but start with simple knots. I still have trouble tying knots. Good luck with your recovery.

Chromish powder paint?
I bought some unpainted non-lead ball head jigs recently, and they weren't as shiny as chrome, but they were silver looking. I wonder if you poured some non-lead spinnerbaits if they would be good enough for what you need? The ball head jigs are advertised as Bismuth-Tin alloy.

A question about Glenn
@Gundog, Wasn't this published in Bass Resource recently? Here's an excerpt: Dear Bass Resource, Some of my little friends say there is no Glenn. Please tell me the truth, is there a Glenn? @Gundog Gundog, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Gundog, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours, man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge. Yes, Gundog, there is a Glenn. He exists as certainly as jigs and spinnerbaits and crankbaits exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Glenn! It would be as dreary as if there were no bass. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence.

Is this Detrimental to a pond or lake ?
Here's a little something to think about . . . When I was a kid, my dad created a goldfish pond in our backyard. We put goldfish in it and some mosquito fish. Everything was fine. One day I netted a couple mosquito fish from a local pond and put them in our goldfish pond. A month later, our goldfish and mosquito fish were all infected with a parasitic copepod. We had to remove the fish, pull out the copepods that were sticking out of the fish, drain the pond, treat it with chemicals, refill the pond with water, then put the cleaned fish back in. All because I put in some fish that looked harmless to me. The fish were harmless, but the parasites they had were not.
