i just love a good worm thread

this is good advice. off shore fishing is my favorite thing to do, especially this time of year.

i kept busting off on the hook set with #12. drove me crazy. i thought it was my knots but it wasn’t. not sure if the Invizx comes in a #14 anyways.

another vote for Invizx but don’t go lighter than #15. trust me on this.

i can afford the pricier stuff but i’ve been using the shocks for several years now. love ‘em.

go get you some unpainted bullet weights and some blue enamel model car paint. get some toothpicks and drill some tiny holes in a block of wood. get to painting those bad boys and then go slay the bass. yer welcome ?

i went old school and broke out a bag of junebug Culprits this morning. this 4+ largemouth and 3 lb spot came off brush piles in 15+ fow. i lost another good spot right at the boat. but i can’t complain.

our granddaughter caught her first fish this morning.....and was ready to leave shortly afterwards.

my first barn quilt. it’s a small one, 2’ x 2’ and a very basic design. it’s going on our little pool pump house after i paint over some of the pencil marks.

i went diggin’ and found mine. i got a set of the Poe’s Elite when they first came out.

i’d also try to find a way to fish that deeper brush

i’m as hard headed as they come

my cousin hadn’t been fishing yet this year. he is a transplant survivor and has been staying safe at home, doctors orders. but we went out on the big lake for some fishing last evening. good times and thank God for bridges. ?

i was fortunate enough to be able to retire from my job with the city water dept in 2010 at the age of 52, with the full 30 years of service required by the state pension plan. i’ve done side jobs for extra cash with a friend since then but i’m about done with that now. i’ve still had plenty of time to fish but it always seems as if i’m being pulled in other directions. so i MAKE TIME for it. and i’m gonna make more.....one of these days.

composite decking is about three times the cost of treated lumber and if you use the stainless hardware you can spend even more. some people swear by it though, so it’s a personal preference i suppose. we’ve built our fair share of decks and we always use a high quality exterior paint. but it still requires regular maintenance as all wood/wood finishes do.
