Diamond Back Lizards exist only in my memories now. each Spring when they would close the gates to the spillway at the state park, we'd throw a Lil Cleo across the froth and catch a stringer full of white bass. we'd spend all day walking those banks as teenagers. burning a Shyster parallel to the bank at the pond drew boiling strikes from fiesty largemouth bass, so would a chrome Tiny Torpedo, worked at an erratic pace. all on my old Mitchell "open face" reel.

taught my wife to throw a texas rig years ago. she loves to fish.

those aerosols and sprays may do a number on your fish finder screen. Megastrike is a much better option imo. love the stuff.

Game and Fish has gone down hill and i agree with reel ess. i've saved every issue (NC vol.) since the early 90's, give or take. the once bulky mag is more like a flimsy sale paper now. i blame the internets. i still like to reference some of the older volumes every now and then....especially in the winter.

i am on board with the spinnerbait and lipless deal too. something else i like to do under these conditions is to anchor down up wind of a brush pile or a road bed and then i can throw my texas rig.

i always seem to either lose or destroy things like sunglasses, especially sunglasses. i stopped spending big bucks on them a few years ago. SK works for me.
