  1. Yep...I was going to suggest a bass raider or bass hunter. I want stability. Love my Raider 10E. They make a bass hunter that has wheels built in to the pontoons for easy moving (called the bass baby). ¹
  2. Nice. I didn't know until recently that Redfish were drum.
  3. Glad to make your acquaintance...
  4. Howdy from Oklahoma. Beware...this place will impact your wallet ?
  5. Didn't consider using my glue gun...also not permanent. Hmmm...
  6. I have some cranks I'd like to attach a rattle to....thinking under the bill. Also have some floating jerkbaits I'd like to make suspend. Can you see any reason rubber cement wouldn't work? I like the idea of it not being permanent. Thoughts?
  7. I dig that purple back gill colored Lewis squarebill. I seriously can't buy anymore squarebills though....I'm already at the 'ridiculous' amount.
  8. It probably hurt Daiwa a bit when bass pro stores dropped them.
  9. I've never tried a Lews, but their comeback was pretty amazing. I took a break from the game in 2009, and when I returned in 2014, I was seeing all these new Lews reels. In the 2000's, Lews was pretty much dormant.
  10. Yea...there is one on the auction site right now, but it is $93.
  11. Tatula SV. You can find brand new 2017 models off the auction site for a bargain.
  12. Are you using clear line on tip-up baits because it's more visible? That's my deal...green line is definitely harder to see.
  13. I haven't ordered any jackhammers from overseas, but someone posted recently that said JDM sites wouldn't ship Zman to the U.S. Maybe it was just one site.
  14. Right on...thanks for the correction.
  15. These look promising. Excellent components and JDM styling on these sticks. Appear to have the same blank and guide train as the 'psycho stick', which received mostly good remarks, with weight being an issue for some. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Okuma_X-Series_Casting_Rods/descpage-OKXCR.html
  16. Nice. Having your sheet organized feels tremendous. Have you seen the new steez line? https://www.daiwa.com/jp/fishing/item/rod/bass_rd/steez_rc/index.html
  17. I like these as well....just wish they came in a 4/0 also. I like the fact they are a 'medium wire' hook. Perfect for wood. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_Finesse_Heavy_Cover_Hook_4pk/descpage-GHSM.html
  18. I'm not sure when these products will apppear online for sale. Those X10 rods will sell well at $250-$280.
  19. Happened to me last season on my Concept Z. It happened to me before years ago...don't remember the reel. I just put it in the 'rare occurance' category.
  20. Yes. I usually use texas rigged finesse worms, so there is also the hookset to contend with. If walking the bank, you may need to drag the fish to you as well. I know dudes use UL's all the time...I'm just not looking for a challenge.
  21. Using expensive things feels good, but so does getting something done at a bargain price.
  22. Really depends on the creek and current you are dealing with. I routinely fish spring creek here in NE Oklahoma, and I wouldn't go below a ML power unless the creek is low with no current. Even 10-12" bass in this creek pull hard and head for whatever isolated piece of cover they see.
  23. I have 2 of the Plano reel lockers...thinking about a third. They went up $30 since I purchased mine ? https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Plano_Guide_Series_Reel_Locker_Bag/descpage-PRL.html
  24. The IxI .5 and 1.5 both look promising. I could find a use for the Ito shiner sr as well.
