  1. Any large worm. I have some of the Owner mag shakey heads in my cart @ TW...they come in either 8/0 or 9/0. Going to use them on the 9.8" flick shake worms I picked up on sale. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Owner_Magnum_Shakey_Football_Head_3pk/descpage-OMSH.html
  2. TT just reviewed the sleeper craw. Caught fish...they are impressed with it. http://tackletour.com/reviewmegabasssleepercraw.html
  3. IMX-Pro would be my choice. I'm looking to purchase one that is a little less powerful than you are looking at. I have several of the IMX-Pro CBR's, and they are fantastic.
  4. Me too...rods and crankbaits. Both are great to look at and fondle during winter ??
  5. Congrats! I live in Tulsa, and for those that don't know...Tulsa University isn't a state school. It's private and pricey! Not easy to get in there....
  6. Meh. I saw this yesterday. She was with a guide using livescope. "Put your bait right there, and I'll tell you when to set the hook". About as impressive as catching a big fish on a bed.
  7. Haven't tried the OSP beaver...it looks similar to the brush hogs I use with the swim tails trimmed. The dolive craws are money, and I'm going to try the shrimp next order.... Dolive shrimp...
  8. Nice...the curado 150 gets stellar reviews. I haven't owned a shimano casting reel since the mg50...about 17 years ago. Maybe this year I'll buy one.
  9. I use the 4/0 for the 4 or 4.5" tubes.
  10. I couldn't find a weighted hook I like for pitching tubes, so I use these hooks: And then I crimp a split shot or bullet weight on the shank of the hook...
  11. I want a new rod...one that won't make me sick....one that won't make me crash my car, or make me feel 3 feet thick. ?
  12. It would definitely give new life to some softbaits that are collecting dust. I was wondering how the 1/8oz 3/0 would behave with an elaztech bait.
  13. A premium inline spinner. I will be adding one to my next order.... https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Picasso_Weedless_Smart_Mouth_Inline_Spinner/descpage-PSMIS.html
  14. 'One-shot' means enough line for one reel. Berkley calls them 'pony spools', and they contain 100m of line. Maxima offers their Chameleon line in a one-shot spool.
  15. I like the confidence of a man that buys 2 packages of culling equipment ?
  16. Nice! You and your new buddy are built similarly...long and lean ?
  17. It honestly depends on the rod series/model as to whether a MH/F will do well IMO. The Tatula I have (6'6"M/Fast) is a little too stiff for jerkbait duty, so I had to find another use for it. I bet the Tatula MH/F casting rods have stiffer blanks, and not what I'd want for single hook moving baits. Maybe soneone who owns one will correct me. I like an MBR style MH/F for spinner/chatter & paddletails. Basically a fast rod with some tip. The Daiwa rods listed as 'regular' tapered rods are closer to an MBR style rod than they are to a fiberglass style crankin' rod.
  18. I'm thinking she will wear a 9.1 Zillion with some 14lb line for light/medium t-rig/jighead.
  19. Nice. Something funny- since you joined this site....I've read your screen name as 'Chump'. My eyesight isn't very good, and I guess my eyes were 'auto-correcting'. You liked my post a minute ago, and my phone was zoomed in when I read the notification. I was like Cbump? Is this a new member? And then I saw he was using Chump's picture! That's when I made the realization ? .
  20. Lol. Yep...and this answer will work when comparing any two baits in our arsenals.
  21. Received my Savage.Gear Black Ops casting rods yesterday....7'6"MH and 7'11"H. They are on sale for $199. I had purchased the 7'3"MH last fall, so I was already familiar with this series. 42T blanks/Fuji K Titanium/SiC inserts and the roomiest reel seat I've held. All the models are very light weight, but the 7'6"MH/Fast (3/8-1 1/4oz) is in another league. It feels lighter and more balanced than my 7'4"MH Poison Glorious. I literally checked the rods length to make sure they didn't send me the 7'1"MH. I don't have a sufficient scale, but I bet the 7'6"MH weighs 4oz. 7'6"MH balance point...
  22. Just heard he passed earlier today. Apparently a few months ago he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and took a turn for the worse this week. I learned he was mayor of Cincinnati before becoming the host of his infamous show. When people are diagnosed with a disease and pass away not long after, it really makes you realuze you can't put things off.
  23. Your neighbor was probably like I don't understand is he doing?!
