Diawa tatula
This is my favorite frame. A little taller but not as wide as the 100. I have a slew of them and cousin zillion.

Got a line question...what line do you crank with?
I use Pline CXX. 8lb for most (.012")...6lb for finesse cranks (.009")...10lb for large divers (.014"). I am finishing off the Trilene XL 'armor coated' line I picked up on clearance at FFO. Great line that apparently didn't sell.

Working to Stay Lean ~
I drink whey protein like a lot of folks, but I was surprised to learn you need 1g per kilo of body weight, minimum. I've started drinking an extra 30g serving of whey every day.

Post a photo a day!
Went and saw Jay Leno at the River Spirit Casino here in Tulsa. He was funny ?

how much coffee do you drink?
I drink instant...Nescafe. 2 16oz cups with sucralose(splenda) and italian sweet cream flavored creamer. I was a straight black coffee drinker...not sure what changed, but now my coffee is more like a cappuccino.

Looking for an inexpensive spinning rod for tossing a 2lb wireless sonar sensor from bank
I'd load that B in a water balloon slingshot and launch it. Seriously though, I'd think a more quiet entry would be beneficial.

My big fish getter
20 years ago, the lizard would top most angler's list. C-rigged when the water was in the 50's, T-rigged when the water was 60+. Not sure when the lizard went 'out of style', but I'm going to throw it more this spring.

My big fish getter
I like a jerkbait during a spring cold front. I'd have an x-rap on deck.

Advantages of high end JDM reels?
Drag performance on the $200ish models has become very good, so weight and refinement seem to be the main factors IMO. The Vanquish gives you Vanford weight with magnesium rigidity and Stella refinement. '23 Vanquish FTW.

NRX 893c with Steez CT 70
I use my 893 for Senkos...works well. I don't have a steez ct, but it should do fine on that rod with a reasonable lb test line, like 10 or 12lb at the most.

Zillion21 vs Lew's Lites
I don't own any of the reels in the pic, but find it interesting that the clean looking zillion was deemed 'ugly' and the look of the giant mag brake dial w/lews plaque was preferred by the OP.

2023 Fishing fluorocarbon line test
Vanish is a different formula than the one that made it infamous 20 years ago. The damage to the name has lived on...

Redcrest 2023
I like watching pro tournaments that I think I could compete. Just watched a video following Dakota and Evers, with Dakota throwing a wacky senko to shoreline cover and docks, and Evers saying "I'm just fishing stuff that looks good" with his topwater. Simple fishing/approaches to a body of water. It's when they locate a magic offshore spot that 'reloads' and they are able to camp out there all day catching fish that makes me think "These guys are way better than me".

Interesting article about livescope w/ Dobyns/Jones
There's a happy medium. I want my driving somewhere in between a horse buggy and a self-driving electric car, and I want my fishing electronics somewhere in between a flasher and livescope.

Interesting article about livescope w/ Dobyns/Jones
The bass fisherman demographic doesn't favor 50k+ boats with 5k+ in electronics. I'm surprised the market can sustain as many boat makers as it does, but that is another thread in itself. Starting a tournament trail that doesn't allow livescope could be a big deal...and grow fast. I'm wanting to start a Pelican Bass Raider league....no ffs...just trying to figure out the groundwork.

Interesting article about livescope w/ Dobyns/Jones
I think in the future, we will see tournaments held with and without livescope....just like bodybuilding, where they hold events that are 'natural' and 'untested' aka w/steroids.

Interesting article about livescope w/ Dobyns/Jones
This article was posted on Tackle Tour, but appears to be written by someone else. It brings mixed feelings for me. Did you know Josh Jones is a greenhorn? Yep...the article states he's only been bass fishing a year or so. He's just really good with electronics. Sonething about that bothers me... http://tackletour.com/interviewgarydobynsfrontfacingsonar.html

Why is the new Zillion smoother than the new Alphas?
Hyperdrive is apparently legit. My Tat 80's I picked up from JLS are the smoothest reels I own...even smoother than my '16 Steez sv tw's.

Heaviest Soft Plastic Jerkbait?
This. I've whacked numerous fish deadsticking them.

New Tatula Elite Rods
I guess if you get new rods/reels every year, you can let them hit and rub each other in the rod locker ?

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Had a $100 TW gift card burning a hole in my pocket, so I took advantage of extra 25% off the clearance. Picked up several Greenfish tackle balsa baits (GT6/big g-flat/squarebill), couple PH customs 'lil guys', a LC bds 6, and sime flashy swimmers. I also purchased the last 10 bags of crash craws, which have been discontinued.

Which Rod would you keep…
I'm in the 'keep both' camp. Equipment prices continue to rise, and you can't have too many MH casting rods ?
-
Loomis GLX 844c MBR
Wish I wouldn't have sold my pair of OG 844's ?. Those OG's have titanium/SiC's versus stainless/SiC on the new version. Not a deal breaker, but I miss the classic ECS seat.

Is rod/reel aesthetics super important to you?
Appearance matters, but performance always trumps looks. Some say fishing equipment is just a tool, but the same could be said for trucks and clothing.
