  1. Agreed St. Croix XF is nothing like say a Loomis XF it is much softer.
  2. Junebug for me to never caught a fish on a junebug worm, creature, or lizard and I have tried.
  3. 5" Senko Frittside 5 #5 Shad Rap Vision 110+1 JR 2.8 Swing Impact Fat 4" Game Hawg 1/2 oz Keitech finesse Jig 5" Fat baby finesse worm 6" Missile Magic Worm Baby Z-To Honorable mentions: Frittside 5 Jr. 5"Super Fluke 1/2 Oz Mini Max 1/2 Oz Jackhammer 3/8 Oz Dirty Jigs Compact Jig 90 Choppo 6" Magdraft
  4. 25 total 13 spinning, 6 casting, 6 fly some of the spinning only get used on the few salt trips I take, used as backups, or are for panfishing.
  5. Don't forget some will throw in free baits I ordered a Vanquish I believe from Japan Lure Shop and received a Vision 110 in the box as well. I've ordered 3 reels each from different sites Japan Lure Shop, Asian Fishing Portal, and Digitaka thus far. No issues with extra charges and longest it took to receive was 7 days because I ordered the night before they closed for a holiday.
  6. Lucky you he got me last week on their site for 2 rods!!!
  7. I fish from kayak all times unless I make a bank trip with my mom or wading for trout. My rods top out at 7'1" and the shortest is a 6'8" for jerkbaits. I had some 7'3", 7'5", and 7'6" rods I sold them all just didn't work for me and way I fish I guess from kayak. Like the fellas above I think it's all a preference thing.
  8. This year 6# Catfish on a baby bass fluke, crappie while scoping for bass with minnow bait(twice this year), redbreast on a shadrap
  9. Don't see the Carolina rig or drop shot weights listed either. Hope they have everything back up on site by time I need to replenish my supply of weights.
  10. That's what I do(knock on wood) every fish that's jumped off my board has jumped into the net or into the yak floor
  11. That was the toughest lake I've fished this year I spent the last 2 Saturdays practicing since I had never fished it before. First Saturday I only caught 4(1 scoreable) in 8 hours and the Saturday before the event I caught 13(4 scoresble). Only thing I came up with from practice was to run the few laydowns and shallow brushpiles I found and hit a bridge if need be. Caught over 20 total Saturday but only 7 were keepers and made a pretty small limit mostly on the shaky head. I didn't fish clean though lost a couple largemouth in the laydowns and had a knot to come undone on a fish I scoped. This lake/tournament was the first time I felt the need to use my livescope to catch a few fish and must admit it was pretty cool watching them eat and chase my baits. Caught my first 2 livescope fish last Saturday while practicing and caught 7 more doing it during the tournament. I've only been able to fish 2 of the GA Bass Nation events this year but luckily I did well enough at Chatuge to make the championship hope to see you guys at Hartwell for it.
  12. @Koz was great running into you yesterday wish I could have stayed around and chatted a bit more had to rush off to find phone service to turn my fish in before time was up🤣🤣🤣. I believe I met @Hook2Jaw also now that I think about it. He pulled up thinking I was someone else(maybe you since you and I have same yak) and we had a quick chat.
  13. Similar here: NRX+ 852 MXF (normally carry 2 of these) for Wacky/Shaky Head/Flukes NRX+ 842S MF Dropshot/small cranks/finesse swimbaits NRX+ 821S MLF for Neko/NED NRX+843C/Conquest 843C MHF Finesse Jigs/TX Rigs/Chatterbaits/Spinnerbaits/swimbaits
  14. NRX+ 852S is my go to wacky rod has it tied on to start every trip
  15. A 3000 Shimano Exsence or Vanquish would look sweet on a Legend Extreme. Got a couple Exsence and I love them.
  16. Same here just have to be patient I've never paid retail for any of mine either and I have nearly same amount purchased in last 2 years. Gotten as little as 15% off and as much as 40%(once).
  17. I agree 843C would be better for more all purpose I have a couple of them(NRX+ and Conquest) and use them alot TX rigs, 3/8 chatterbaits/spinnerbaits/jigs, and 4" and below paddle tails. What are you planning on throwing on it? I've been thinking of getting a 842C myself but haven't been able to really justify it since I have a 852C.
  18. Wacky rigged green pumpkin magic Senko
  19. I got a used but flawless Steez Ct Sv few weeks ago hopefully get to fish it first time tomorrow see if it's as smooth as the reviews say. Got a Stella and couple Exsences as well that are so sweet really love the Exsence great real.
  20. Agree with @thunderblack 100% my 842S are conquests but close enough comparison. If your fishing wacky senkos, shaky head, fluke only go with 852s. You add any trebles hooks or lighter baits to the mix get the 842S. Not a fan of 902S/872S myself sold them both eventually and ended up with a 2nd 852S and couldn't be happier. 872S is only 2 inches longer but I was much more comfortable with the shorter rod(852S) the way I fish and 902S was just to soft.
  21. I have a couple of both if wacky will be the main and almost only use I'd go with the +852S. 1 of mine keeps a wacky on it 100% of the time love skipping under docks and overhangs with it great rod. I tried wacky on the Conquest a few times and seemed to not get as good of hooksets with it same with flukes. I will say if you want 1 rod to do ALL I'd go with the Conquest/NRX+ 842S though. I use mine for shad raps, frittside jr's, 4" neko rigs, little swim baits, jerkbaits, and dropshot(not much since I don't fish it often). Conquest isn't worth the extra $$ over NRX+ imo at full retail currently $125 more than NRX+. I was patient and got both mine used in great condition on another forum.
  22. I'm a Daiwa casting guy they made the learning curve much easier for me so I stuck with them. I have 6 casting setups and 4 have zillions on them and I love them. Can't speak much on the Mets had a Met DC didn't like it so sold it to get my first Zillion.
  23. I didn't stand in mine the first few months but now I'm standing before I even realize it haha. Like @casts_by_fly said just have to get used to a little wobble it will come with time. Now I stand to flip cover, throw jerkbaits, or anything else I want to do with no worries unless it's really windy and the spotlock is constantly adjusting.
  24. I have 2 of those same rod models and got 1000 Nascis on them just another option. I have a 2500 Miravel also that I like on my jerkbait rod. You can't go wrong with either Miravel is lighter and both are smooth.
