VMC Crossover rings?
Small bass will occasionally pull a 5" Senko straight out of a 7mm and a 4" out of a 6mm ring don't ask me how I know lol. Its easier to put a 5" senko in the 7mm without the tool so i will use them still for the 5" if i forget my tool. I use them for wacky and neko rigging and they work great to make worms last caught 5/6 on a wacky rig last Saturday all on the same senko and it's still tied on. I carry 5mm-7mm for Senkos, x-zone worms, and roboworms/fat mostly.

What reel should I pair with my 7ft St. Croix Legend Elite panfish rod?
I'd say the Vanford 2000 I have one on a Loomis Ned Rig rod and its a pretty light dang combo sire it'll go well with the Croix.

Favorite soft plastic lizard

Think they've just been selling well lately lol several other online shops I frequent have very very few mini max or Jackhammers available. I ended up getting some from Discount Tackle and Tacklewarehouse this week since I need them for a upcoming trip. Looks like Discount Tackle got a recent shipment they have some now they did not have on Wednesday.

Advice picking new St Croix Rod Setups
I have 3 of the models in the Legend Elite line which I am pretty sure is same blank as the Legend X's. The 6'10" MXF Legend Elite is a mean wacky rig, light Texas rig, and 110+1 JR rod only rod I have better is my NRX+ 852S for wacky/Texas rigs. The 6'10" MXF Legend Elite is great at skipping Senkos and gets into backbone quick for great hooksets. I have even taken it to the Georgia coast and caught reds, huge flounder, and sea trout it's just a great rod. I also have the 7' MF Legend Elite and I like it for throwing Shad Raps and finesse swimbaits it has a pretty soft tip so not that good to me for Texas rigged baits. Also have thrown Neko rigs with it and it shines for those as well to me. The 6'10" MLXF I use for Ned rigs and little jigs like Roadrunners and Bobby Garland baby shad for crappie, white bass, and yellow perch.

Which bass would you choose and why?
Spotted bass for me just because the fight would be epic.

Recommend a First Baitcaster for Long-Time Spinning Reel Fisherman?
I'd wait for a Presidents sale and get a St. Croix Victory 7'1" MHF and a Daiwa Tatula SV reel

Recommend a First Baitcaster for Long-Time Spinning Reel Fisherman?
•I'm a mainly spinning rod guy but I currently have 3 casting set ups and they're all Daiwas with SV spools and have been great for me. I currently have 2 Zillions and a Tatula I have a minor backlash here and there but specifically the Zillion has been great for me so far. •Medium Heavy fast is the perfect all around one combo you need to get started you'll likely add more later since rods multiply haha •7.1 ratio is a great all around speed to me that's what all 3 of my current reels are but my next will be a 8+. •About the rod length I have a 7'5" rod and I have trouble casting it in kayak. I try to take my shorter rods with me because I'm more of a side arm caster like to stay shallow making short casts/pitches at shoreline structure just how I like to fish. •All my main setups are Loomis/St.Croix what's your budget for gear?

Shimano price increases
Rods went up to under the Shimano brand tree as well NRX's went up $25 and I think Conquests went up $40 if I'm not mistaken.

When spotted bass first hit the shallow water...
Fish head spin with 2.8/3.3 keitech Texas rig with a 4" game hawg or a 6" Rage lizard Neko rig with 4" Senko

Most bass in 2023: Which lure?
Sure it will be a 5 inch wacky green pumpkin magic Senko or a Pearl Ghost mini max chatterbait. Keep those two rigged and if I can't get a bite with anything else I'm going to cruise the banks and chuck those 2.

Best Wacky Rig Hook
I prefer the Owner Sniper Finesse Neko hook in a 1 or 1/0 but have some 2's as well
-
NRX+ utility rod...?
I have the same Conquest and use it just the way you do it is a great versatile rod. I think the NRX+ version would serve OP as well but fishes just a touch lighter is what I was told.

Are G Loomis rods ever on sale?
They got Loomis/Shimano back on board for when they reopen is what I read on another forum in the coming months.
-
Are G Loomis rods ever on sale?
another site had a couple Loomis sales they sent out via email last year to select people 30% off and then another for 25%. I jumped on one of them and picked up 2 NRX+.
