St. Croix Legend Tournament vs. Elite
I have 3 elites and 1 current gen legend tournament and I agree with the above. Elites are probably a bit more sensitive/lighter due to the torzite guides and supposedly highest grade blank. My lone legend tournament I use for jerkbaits(6'8" MXF) so don't really test it's sensitivity much. My elites I use a bit more often and really like them especially the 6'10" MXF.

SC vs Loomis rod power
Depends on the model within Loomis like say a conquest feels more powerful to me than a NRX. Overall though I would say a Croix medium is typically more powerful than a Loomis. Like Fishtank said it also has to do with length that 6'10" MXF being shorter feels like it gets into its power quick.

Spinning St Croix Legend Elite
I have the elite 6'10" MXF and 7'0" MF models of the current elites. I love the 6'10" sweet rod with a nice tip and lots of power to it great for shaky head, light Texas rigs, and what I think it does best is as a 5" wacky senko especially skipping it. I also take it with me for my 1 or 2 trips a year to the Georgia coast and have caught lots of reds, flounder, specks with it bottom bouncing plastics. The 7 MF has kind of a soft/mushy tip to it not as good for bottom contact or setting hooks through Texas rig baits to me. I find it works best as my rod to throw my 2.8/3.3 kietechs, small cranks like shad raps and 1/4 oz red eye shads, and jerkbaits.

Old Town Autopilot 120 Power Questions
I run a 100AH Ionic Lithium in mine and have never ran out of juice or even come close. Sometimes I go 3 trips without even having to charge it. I usually fish smaller electric only lakes we have down here with the biggest I fish being around 900 acres. Most my trips are 6-10 hours if I have enough sunlight and like I said never came close to running out. I spot lock alot when bait fishing for perch/crappie and on the windy days that might be when I use the most battery since the dumb thing always adjusting to face the wind(my only gripe). When bass fishing I usually put it on a low setting and parallel the banks when fishing moving baits covering water and run it typically around 8-9 setting when changing spots on the remote. I try to not run it on full speed 10 much unless I have to because of how much it drains battery but I will put it on 10 for short runs like going to next cove or maybe end of day getting to ramp. The Ionic has a Bluetooth app I have on my phone and I used to check my batteries alot during day to see what I had remaining now I don't even check since I know it's a slim chance I'll kill it. I run a 20amp Ionic lithium for fish finder which is a Helix 9 G4N Mega SI+ and also have the GPS Puck and I have to usually charge it after every trip. Lowest I got it to was a 8am - 6pm day perch fishing that I got it down to I believe 11%. I have to charge the 20 amp after every trip I went Friday and the 20 amp was at 46% after 5+ hours of fishing while the 100 amp was at 73% with me having covered most of a 260 acre lake on a windy day except for the dam area and 1 long bank.

Megabass Windbuster
NRX+ 842S would work for small hardbaits and bottom contact as well

Spinning reel 2000 series
I have a second spool for my Vanford 2000 filled with 5# Sniper for crappie fishing. I might would go to 6# but that's about as high as I'd go on that size reel.

Old Town Autopilot Question.
I have the 120 and have the 16x13 yakattack blackpak in mine with 8 rod holders 4 across back and 2 on each side.

Old Town Autopilot Question.
No regret with mine bought it July of 2022 and I love it. Opened up waters to me that I wasn't able to fish in the past and I've had no issues with it yet knock on wood. I've probably got between 30-40 trips or so on mine so far. Taking it over to the Georgia coast for its 2nd taste of salt next week. Spotlock is great unless it's windy makes you face directly into it so that would be my only negative.

Old Town Autopilot Question.
I don't stand much out of mine except slowly going down a bank pitching or throwing a jerkbait but will speed it up to go to another spot and stay standing on occasion. I wouldn't stand with it going full speed but I'll stand with it going around 2 mph but that's just my personal comfort level and based on how rough water is as well.

bare minimum. how FEW rods can you get away with?
Bare minimum I could probably get by with 4 even though I rotate through 13 haha. The 4 would be: Medium Light spinning for neds and finesse swimbaits Medium spinning for wacky and small crankbaits Medium heavy casting for all 1/4-3/8 oz work finesse jigs, chatterbaits, and TX rigs Heavy casting for same above but heavier say 1/2 oz plus baits

Jig Setup
14 or 16 pound Sunline Shooter fluoro for me

Any idea what G. Loomis is teasing on Instragram?
Saw a post on IG that was leaked of a Poison Ultima it was on Bassmaster.com but they had it removed soon after

Higher end gear suggestions
NRX+ 903/904 MBR rod with a Daiwa Zillion 8.5:1 reel. If you find the right retailer will have some money left for line and some baits as well.
-
Wacky hook
Owner Sniper finesse Neko hook either #2 or #1 for me
-
Vmc crossover rings
7mm is great for 5" Senkos but if your dealing with smaller fish they will grab the ends and pull it clean out the 7mm so I will use the 6mm when smaller fish are around.
-
Straight 20lb Fluoro on Baitcaster
As said above ignore it that 8# reference was probably towards using higher than 8# fluoro on spinning gear.
-
Soft Plastics Only
For me always a wacky 5" Senko(4" if fishing for spotted bass and will Neko rig it instead), Rage lizard or Strike king Game Hawg to bed fish, and a creature to pitch with either a Rage Bug or Xzone Adrenaline Craw.
