what are you going to be throwing.. squarebills, small or large jerkbaits, md cranks, spinners? I'll use my M for small cranks and jerkbaits, and a MH for anything over 1/2oz or deeper than 6ft.

Don't sleep on the Baker JLD. It is a fantastic bait and the blue green flash has killed it for me. It is almost a Jackall Squad Minnow clone. Suspends well, cupped bill and swims nice on the straight retrieve.

What are you looking for in a boot, aside from waterproofing? Soles, steel/composite toe, height 4 6 or 8", insulation..

Threadfin shad and anything the like will probably be fine. Silver finishes will be your best bet if you're trying to match the hatch. Give the Trick Darter a look, especially given the size of most alewife.

Love the Owner Mosquito. Not a great weightless t-rig hook but for wacky and small craw applications they're fantastic. Great quality.
