Catt I like the way you think especially the chocolate milk and a big ole honey bun.

If you just to have one line I would recommend 14# mono. Cast great and would be a good line and test for Texas rig and crankbaits.

My favorite is to cast it out and let it set for about 15-20 seconds then shake it and try not to move it as much as possible. I then take a complete turn of the reel (gliding) shake it let, repeat until I think I am out of the strike zone. I guess you could call it like the others said, glide and shake.

Most of my rods are 6'6" except my pitching/carolina rod. I grew up where a 5'6" was the standard with a pistol grip handle. Shorter is a lot more accurate which is my most concern.

I still like mono in 12-15# test.

40hp is max for the Tracker.

I had a 1984 Bass Tracker. Back then, I think you had 3 different models, all of them were brown. I didn't think that the brown was so bad. I guess different strokes for different folks.

95% of time it is in a boat. I do fish from the bank at our city lake when I got an hour or so to fish.

Could be a ground but it could be a hot wire. Look for any wire that is hanging from under the console. Also, there should be a main hot wire going to your console, check the fuse in it if nothing is working in the console. The fuse could be under the console or in the battery compartment.

Got a pair. They are nice shoes, wear them everyday. I heard about them and went to the web site to buy some. They were $80 plus $10 more for the blue one. Looked on eBay and found an overseas seller that sold them for $32 shipped. It took 3 weeks to get them but it was worth the wait. Still don't know if I would pay $90 for them but they are really comfortable.

I didn't play in the high school band but I did play in a band when I was in high school.

I use 2 brands, Lews and Falcon. Between the 2, I can find a rod to meet my rigging needs.

Wish I could have caught this earlier, back to $128.
