Hardly ever get that cold here but you would think a jigging spoon would work. I can only remember one time that a pond I fished froze completely over.

Senile1 Is Concerned About Senility
I retired at 62 which was my plan. Worked 41 years at the same company. Yes, many die when they retired but I think the key is to stay active. I have a part time job, 2 1/2 days a week, play golf, walk, and of course fish. I don't know how much all this helps but it certainly can't hurt. I will be retired 5 year shortly and highly recommend it to anyone.

Hi-Vis braid
I don't use leaders on my bait casters but I love regular Power Pro on my spinning. I use the yellow hi vis and it works great. Yes it will fade but I think all do. When that happens, I pull all of it off and reverse it on the spool.
