I have always heard that it was because of kids having to catch the school bus in the dark.

Fish the colors you have confidence, those will catch you the most fish.

I mainly use 2 colors, green pumpkin and chart./white. I use a twin tail or a GY Zako.

Sounds to me some bolts holding the bunk brackets is loose. Does the other bunk do it too? When the boat is off the trailer, can you turn the bunk with your hand? I had the same trouble on my boat and it was just a matter of tighten up some bolts.

Lew's BB1 still has a 5:1, great cranking reel. You are right, ratio in reels and length in rods are going up.

I use the Alberto knot and I trim both tags as close as I can, never had a problem of it slipping.
