  3. I had two Fenwick Techna series rods with first generation Revos. Heavy, dead unbalanced and just awful. Gave them to some kids. I also had a Lamiglas 806 Skeet Reese flipping stick. The tip was so heavy it felt like holding a garden rake. Gave that to young guy who jetty fished with it. I also had three Lamiglas XMG50 704C rods and broke all three in the exact same spot. Disappointing as I had many awesome Lamiglas rods after.
  4. So at the risk of being layed over the barrel I purchased some 6 inch Cullshads. I only had time from a trial run and this is what I discovered. Tying a direct knot to the nose with 15 lb Tatsu, I obtained two distinct actions based on rate of retrieve. The first was a slow retrieve resulting in a subtle yet pronounced side to side roll and a nice consistent tail wag. There was also a notable cadence like that of an S Waver. I did look natural . by speeding the retrieve, that roll and waving action transitioned into a straighter running bait with a more rapid and direct tail kick. If the hook shank detaches from the belly clip the bait twirls out of control. Are my observations consistent with you other Cullshad users? I would like to know. The bait seem well built. CC
  5. Next trip before you dress to leave, apply copious amount of Icy Hot to your arm pits, thighs and entire groin and genitalia. That way when you hear the ticks cry out...... oooh owe, hot, hot hot, you’ll know you’ve been infested.
  6. So when Berkley actually reads about this a comes up with a Max Scent bobber stopper called the booger or the blackhead, remember where you heard it first! Bass Resource! That should bring Glenn’s stock up.?
  7. Maybe Berkley will release a new scented Powerbait bobber stopper.
  8. Evidence demands a verdict. The fish have to tell you. It’s interesting that during the MLF Heavy Hitter event on Lake Palestine, a heavily turbid, stained and colored location, some competitors threw black and blue swim jigs and some three all white and each got bit. Omori got bit on a chartreuse crankbait. Fish see differently that humans. I kind of lean toward what creates contrast rather than a visible color. That explains to me why green pumpkin is so effective.
  9. That’s it!
  10. The Kaden 743C is a very effective Senko rod. It checked all the boxes.
  11. Allen, have you developed a baby bass pattern yet ? I’m in need buddy.
  12. I took my daughters and grand kids to a baseball game. It was a good time.
  13. For me a good day is not having to deal with idiots at the ramp and jerk-skis. Enough said.
  14. If you really want to stretch out the life, use the Grammy 4/0 with the stock screw lock. It will strip out after a couple fish. Replace the screw lock with two sizes larger and it will bite into the plastic. Strip that out and you can still get an EWG to hold. Very little inconvenience to get maximum life out of a good bait.
  15. About 12 years ago, I found it necessary to split my largemouth terminal items and smallmouth terminal items. The number of jig heads I use for smallmouth pushed me to do this. I’m sure my largemouth box has more money per square inch of space that any box I have. It’s insane. But snap your fingers and it’s right there.
  16. Check the Yes or No boxes: Does the rod cast comfortably? Does the rod have the power to obtain good hook penetration? Does the rod provide power to move fish to the boat? Does-the line have sufficient strength? Can the line cut through any vegetation? Can I run the line without a leader to eliminate knot liability?
  17. The Willamette is a great fishery during the week. The week ends are another matter. Awesome fish.
  18. I asked my accountant to provide my total tackle expenditures for the past twelve months.
  19. I had a very good friend who passed many years ago. He said something to me that stuck. “You have what I need.” Walter was talking about life and relationship. I value what you bring.
  20. Welcome ??????
