Siebert Shot caller Swim Jig
This is a better image to show the detail of the colors and head. This style is very effective in bushes and buck brush.

Jig Setup
Crashing grass or pads gets straight 30 braid. Stained water and wood gets 20 Tatsu Rocks with light mixed cover and docks get 15 Tatsu. I don’t punch with jigs.

How do you sell your rods?
Shipping costs are a challenge. I network with the bass club members and a handful of friends. I just sent a list of 15 rods I’m ready to let go of.

What are your heaviest powered rods?
I recently spent some time checking the rod combos on the decks of tournament boats at an event. This was a largemouth lake with relatively heavy cover types. What I found was very few heavy or mag/heavy rods. I was surprised at the abundance of medium, mediumjp heavy rods. Even those with jigs and frogs seemed under powered in my opinion. What rods in your arsenal are your heaviest rods and how do you apply them? For the last 20 years I find I fish about a power above the norm. Thanks for sharing all! Doug

Understanding Numeric Rod Rating System
If it wasn’t for the input by members here on BR, there would be a bunch of anglers with bald spots from scratching their heads trying to affirm what rod company’s ratings are accurate. If you can figure this out, the next step is to determine if the progression of the “powers” are consistent.

1-2 Punch, Who Still Does This?
Typo Tom? Jay Yelas. I saw that footage on BASSMASTER. He was ticked at first then sacked a good one.

Current Favorite Drop Shot Baitfish / Flat Worm ?
I had to try the 6th Sense Glitch Worm and it exceeded my expectations. This is a productive bait.

June 27th is PTSD Awareness Day ~
Thank you A-Jay for this post. There are more first responders out there with PTSD than we will ever know. I lost a Fire Fighter friend to suicide. It’s very real. You never get over some of the things I’ve seen. If you have a local police/fire chaplaincy, give them your support. Those folks are special.

Stroking a Jig
I remember Stacy King winning a BASS event on Toledo Bend using that technique. The most productive retrieve for me is still a slow dragging while maintaining bottom contact.

Experience with EDGE RODS
I don’t know that I understand why roadwarrior made this last post. For anyone who has a concern regarding NFC-Edge Rods, there were some internal changes and some additions to management. They opened their first Pro Shop next to the production facility last year. Having the ability to handle product really helped in making purchase decisions. Being able to talk with design staff and the CEO Alex was an eye opener. My experience with service has been great, enough that I have another rod coming. Orders are running an average of 31-33 days out. Be aware that the pro staff refer to bass as ditch pickles.?
