  2. Only people who don't pay attention to FCS football! 2004 National Champs. #1 ranked team for the playoffs last year (eliminated in the semifinals to a team that got crushed in the finals by a team we already beat that year) The CAA is on fire. Don't tell me it isn't the best conference in I-AA...Not arguable. Richmond (defending FCS champ) beat Duke William and Mary beat UVA Villanova beat Temple New Hampshire is beating Ball State JMU is tied with Maryland suck it ACC. and now Jacksonville St. is beating FSU in the 4th...
  3. my mistake. I wasn't clear enough about that. The neighborhood lake is behind our home Alabama, where the non-keeper size spot was caught. Ok, just making sure. Congrats again, dude!
  4. The fish was caught out of Lake Purdy near Birmingham, Alabama. I meant this one:
  5. I watched it last night and I just could not get over how terrible the actor who played "Jax" was.
  6. congrats dude! It only gets easier from there. If I may ask, are you saying you caught a spotted bass from a pond here in NoVA?
  7. There are signs. The people you saw are probably doing so illegally OR are some of the many fishermen who reside in the neighborhood. Just FYI.
  8. There are plenty of great rods at that price range. Kistler (magnesium), Powell, St Croix (Avid), etc...
  9. Holy crap. I hope that guy got his bait back. Yes, I know for a fact he did, lol good. I know Ospreys are big but I suppose 20lb+ test and a swimbait stick would be able to handle one.
  10. Holy crap. I hope that guy got his bait back.
  11. I went striper fishing on the bay last weekend and we found a few birds swarming up. We started casting out towards them and I ended up casting right over a seagull in mid flight. He kept flying and pull my bait up out of the water. Luckily I was able to keep my bait from hooking him but it was close.

  17. Most, if not all of the Ashburn ponds are private. It's best to get permission from someone to fish there first. I've heard that the local Sheriff's office has been patrolling the area and issuing citations.
  18. You should check it out. It's so ridiculously tragic in the first few seasons that it's almost like watching a car accident. You just can't make yourself stop looking. Now the show is still tragic but it's also very funny at the same time. Do they run reruns of SOA during the week?
  19. Nice fish. I have no clue about catfish species. give it more than 15 minutes...someone will answer.

what about the ABC/ESPN college productions trying to get everyone to buy Dave Matthews' new CD? I am really getting sick of hearing DMB at EVERY commercial break...I don't like it when they use sports to sell records. (except for Shaq playing basketball to promote "Shaq-fu")
  21. I LOVE Rescue Me but I haven't gotten into Sons of Anarchy yet. Maybe I'll give it another shot this year.
  22. 6lb bass on a chunk of hot dog?!?! nice!
