Time is an illusion. There is no past and no future, only the present. It's hard to think about and explain unless I were to jot this all down on paper because I keep loosing my thoughts. I don't really have to though as scientist have already done that. Of course there is always the theory about infinite probabilities which would give a reality of the past and future but thinking about that makes my head hurt. I understand the point of this is because no one really here cares about 9-9-09 I'm just getting a little bit deeper into the topic. Why get yourself confused by thinking through all of that? When it comes down to it, the days still start and end at midnight, and we still have to be at work at 9.

Strong Weedless Hooks
Ok. I was just wondering because a guy I know swears by circle hooks (from a conservation standpoint) and I was wondering if maybe this was a way that I could start using them. I don't think I'd like not being able to set the hook though.

Who's going down this weekend?
All the teams with fewer points than the team they are playing, mark it down I guarantee it. Thanks John Madden.

Strong Weedless Hooks
Thanks Wayne. I'm going to try to make a whole bunch sometime soon. I'm assuming you can buy the shrink tubing at most hardware stores? Wayne, one more thing: I know you are basically a wacky-rigging guru; have you ever tried circle hooks?

I understand you. There is no such thing as a "foot" (the measurement) either, just measurements that simulate what a foot should be. Time is something WE created. It's not naturally occurring and shouldn't have any impact on when things end. *EDIT* RW, please refer to Muddy on rules regarding Wikipedia as a credible reference source. sounds like a lot of contemplation for absolutely zero benefit or net productivity. ;D

Bama Players in Trouble for Fishing
regardless of race, i think it is a bit strange for two collegiate football players to go fishing with a (seemingly) random 56 year old man. This is taking into account the number of illegal exchanges that have been occurring in recent years. Sure, there is an absolute possibility that it was perfectly legal but you can see why some might question it at first glance.

Yeah, you and all the others who are discriminating against double digit numbers!

Bama Players in Trouble for Fishing
Is there ANY indication that that might be the case?

New Abu Garcia Vengeance Rod
how's that trigger? When I first saw it I thought it looked terribly uncomfortable.

which curado for frogs ?
*** has them for $139. The $20 rebate would have made them $119 but it has expired. Don't know if brokeju knew that or if he maybe has some other discount info.

which curado for frogs ?
I use an STX (not the new one) for froggin and jigs. I'm happy with it so far. I think you'd be happy with either reel. BTW, the $20 rebate on Revos has expired.

Ummm. Is it something technical that Im missing or what about 10.10.10 or 11.11.11 even 12.12.12??? :-? :-/ that's what I was saying. Apparently double digit numbers don't count so 09/09/09 is the last date with repeating SINGLE digits for a while.

Dragon Run
No but I've fished with Capt Mike and I've met Charlie Taylor before. I knew about the event from him and some other guys that went down with the club.

Dust collecters
this season: flukes. I used to fish them all the time, but I haven't fished them that much this year. overall: crankbaits. I have caught maybe 20 fish on crankbaits since I started fishing 4 years ago. I bought a whole bunch of them and I haven't caught fish with or even thrown most of them.

Nice start for the Vols!!!
I think Washington's defense was impressive with that new guy from USC. But LSU was running that option a lot... :-? If they can win a NC with it then get me some Texas Pete and I'll have some crow... They seemed to be forcing it though. Almost like trying to work out the qinks. Watch Navy. Their triple option is like a well oiled machine. If they only had better athletes....

Strong Weedless Hooks
so you are just making a loop, feeding the loop end through the hook and then around the hook barb. Is the heat wrap the only thing securing the loose ends of the loop to the hook shank?

so it's the last date with repeating single digits? so what? how are single digits any more significant than repeating double digits (10/10/10, 11/11/11, etc...)

Stradic CI4 Review
how does the new frame material feel in your hand as you fish? Does it feel sturdy/like plastic/ as if it would flex?

replacement hooks for Slammers
thanks dude.

replacement hooks for Slammers
I have a 7" slammer that needs some new hooks. The stock hooks are SHARP but they have been bent out by a bunch of vicious strikes and I need to get some replacements. Any recommendations? I guess they are 1/0 from what I've read.

3:16 Lure color choice
I don't throw that particular bait but I've had a lot of success with a trout colored slammer in waters that have no trout. I wouldn't worry too much about the color, I think the action is way more important. I don't think you could go wrong with a shad/white/silver type color anywhere.

Baitcaster Decision
40 should be fine as well.
