  1. Yep. I use the 12lb for cranking. It has the diameter of 10lb Trilene 100%
  2. In general, what # test do you use most often? (Not including braid) If the # test you use isn't list, pick the closest option.
  3. Any idea what the water temperature was?
  4. Unless you take or attempt to take trout. You didn't have the intention to catch trout, but you used a popular trout lure in trout waters. I wouldn't expect the warden to know your intentions. I'm sure he's used to getting lied to, so I can see why he would expect you to have a trout stamp.
  5. Sounds like you already know about my favorite part of the river. I wish I could help more but you have as much info as I do about the area now.
  6. Yes, you can; by paying for a trout stamp. That's EXACTLY why they require you buy one to fish trout waters.
  7. Seriously...A guy is fishing with a trout lure in trout water. I can understand his actions completely.
  8. I would avoid those Owner Phantom weighted hooks. They make it difficult to pin the fish on a hook set and result in a lot of missed fish.
  9. You should have just asked here! Would have saved a little $$$
  10. I don't know what you guys are talking about. I rock "Party in the USA" up to 11 with the windows down...
  11. Which is exactly why many other states require a trout stamp to even fish trout waters at all. I cant help if a Trout smacks my lure... That's exactly my point. In VA you have to have a trout stamp to fish anywhere that there are trout because you can't help it.
  12. Which is exactly why many other states require a trout stamp to even fish trout waters at all.
  13. x2 I'd throw dwight hottle's name in as well. It seems he has those brown fish figured out. same plus bizz (on his waters...bass or trout)
  14. There aint really a problem with a 20 year old dating a 17 year old. Wow 2-3 year difference. It really is not that much. It wouldn't matter at older ages but it makes a difference at those ages. Of course, that's just my opinion.
  15. ahhhhh, too bad you can't go farther south. There is the Spoils area which is down by the WW Bridge on the MD side. It's a little bay full of junk that holds fish. I think it may technically be MD but it is north of the bridge. Then there is Blue Plains, the waste water treatment facility, also on the MD side. Four Mile Run is on the VA side just south of Reagan National Airport (right across from Bolling AFB) There's the warmwater discharge in Alexandria Washington Sailing Marina on the VA side has lots of boat docks (right across from Bolling AFB) I've heard Roaches Run Waterfowl Sanctuary can be good but you have to go through a culvert to get to it and you can only do it when the tide is right, otherwise you can't get in or out. All of these spots are easy to find on Google Maps.
  16. oh boy. Assuming you are fishing for largemouth there are A LOT of possibilities. How far are you willing to run?
  17. What kind of boat?
  18. I'm glad you got it working well. You should have had the repair guy take a picture of the inside of the reel. So...what made you think Chronarchs were green?
  19. Not until just recently!
  20. Just to clarify, Chronarch Mgs have never been green, they are silver, actually there 's only one Chronarch 50/51 Mg, and it 's silver; older Mg Chronarchs were CH100 Mg, still, they were silver body with golden handle and spool. x2. Maybe that is why he told you that you "don't have a clue." Can you post a pic of the reel you got and the reel you wanted?
  21. I would like to see the factual data that proves your findings.
  22. I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.
  23. When I use a trailer on a spinnerbait I use the back half of a paddle tail like the RI Skinny Dipper.
  24. So you have factual data that proves a fish hits a buzzbait because it doesn't have a clacker?
