  1. Nitrofreak, if you don't mind me asking...where are you in H'burg? I used to live near Cantrell and Reservoir when I went to school at JMU.
  2. "LEO" = Law Enforcement Officer.

ok, warez wizard, but i think it might be hard to launch rkill if he can't even start windows, right? 8-)
  6. that's great news. Congratulations!
  7. it's pretty light compared to the ones I've been catching around here...except for this freak:
  8. it sure was. luckily it was unlocked. ;D
  9. Yeah, try that first. I was assuming you had already tried this, but it's a good place to start.
  10. I'd say they're too light for your rig. Try using a keel weighted hook.

That's a good idea. I might have to try that this summer. The lily pads are already growing thick on the Potomac, now we just have to wait for the grass to emerge.

When the 17 year cicadas were out I used to go around shaking small trees so they would all fly out and then see how many I could smash with a wiffle bat.
  13. wow, that fish is PALE!
  14. If you don't want to carry a tape measure, use the piece of line trick. Wrap a piece of line around the girth and cut it where the ends meet. Then measure the length of line when you get home. Great fish btw. The only pike I've caught could have been eaten by that one!

Ahh, that's right. They sting then die. I knew there was something weird about their stinging capabilities.
  16. gotcha. I'm just trying to collect opinions on aluminum boats so I can do some goal-setting.

    Can bumblebees sting?
  18. If I ever buy another boat, it will be a G3, Triton or Xpress aluminum. No Lowe?
  19. when was the Vicious purchased?
  20. Stripers are members of the moronidae family. Perch are part of the percidae family. As for the question, I would think you could fish for LMB with a spreader rig but it would have to be pretty light. The big ones create a great deal of drag so they require heavy gear and are trolled. The obvious problem I see is casting. I would think it would be very difficult to cast the lures without them getting tangled. Trolling would probably work if you could find a small version.
  21. ahahaha. I guess we do have a lot of nice kayaking rivers and a lot of the population lives in areas that make kayaks more logical than boats.
