Red Bear, have you been to the Mt. Hope launch recently? They cleared a lot of brush and the big boulders that were there and put in a mulch/dirt type ramp. You could easily launch a jon from there as long as you can carry it a few feet.

Is anybody else watching this series on the History Channel? It's pretty decent so far, but I'm not sure why they have celebrities doing commentary (Colin Powell, Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump, etc). I think it would be better if they had the normal History channel commentators like authors and professors who are experts in the time period being discussed.

I've been using 6lb Vicious since the beginning of winter. So far, I like it! It is limp and manageable and so far I've had no breakage or abrasion issues. I can't speak for the heavier tests but you should give it a shot. If you hate it, it only cost you $6.
