  1. for example?
  2. That's because everyone keeps talking about it and playing it on TV over and over again. Like I said, if this were SOP then nobody would make a big deal about it and people would stop doing it.
  3. It really is much easier with a shorter rod. I use my 6'9" Zillion for short range pitching and the 7'6" flipping stick for longer pitching at times when I'm likely to also be casting the jig.
  4. ok, a brief synopsis: short notes don't require punctuation or capitalization. That is all.
  5. short notes don't require punctuation or capitalization...it's an internet rule, look it up.
  6. Yes, we should. They are used to denote possession, or with contractions. Ex. The cat's meow- (An old fashioned way of saying really cool.) The cats meow- (A group of cats making noise, present tense.) The cats' tails were in danger due to the rocking chair. (Possessive and plural...Tricky, I know.) The board's decision was correct. The boards are the right length. Can't Doesn't You're- (another bad one around here) perfect! Stickify!
  7. It's not optimal, but I do it. Although I'm restricted in that I have to be above water level without any obstructions in front of me. You're right though, they should be separated.
  8. I've never understood why people think tazers should be a second to last resort. Things would end so much quicker and easier if more bad guys got tazed. It's not fair to the police to tie their hands when it comes to dealing with a situation that could be potentially dangerous.
  9. I would rather get tackled by a cop than tazed
  10. next week we should have a lesson on the appropriate use of the apostrophe
  11. How would they know that at the time? Yeah, because people keep making a big deal about it. If it were SOP I'd bet it would happen less often...
  12. why? It's just a shock...plus, he was probably drunk. Who knows what he would have done once tackled? I think it will probably deter future knuckleheads as well.
  13. He's breaking the law, trespassing on private property, and possibly creating costs for the team. I would have done the same thing to get him off the field as quickly as possible.
  14. really? How much does it weigh? The 766 is heavy!
  15. lol, who cares? they're crappie!
  16. when I am not using dental floss I use PowerPro. It is much limper than other braids (which some dislike but I happen to prefer) and I've never ever had it break.
  17. the crappie?
  18. I have used a friend's. Very nice rods. They feel very much like Zillions.
  19. worms? as in parasites in the fish? Haha, thanks AnF! affirmative
  20. apparently there is a high frequency of worms in crappie at that place.
  21. for the most part it does suck. That's my story and I'm sticking with it!
  22. That's a lie, you had 80 lb. Spiderwire braid on all of your Zebco 202's when we fished together last summer. that was spearmint flavored dental floss. It's almost identical to FireLine but way cheaper. Wow, I've never thought of that. Wonder if my dentist can get me 1000 yd. spools? Do you think the spearmint flavor increase or decreases the number of strike you get, and should I use a FC leader? I would go with a leader. Dan wasn't using one and it took him about 14 hours to catch a fish. That's low Burley, real low. There was no grass in that lake... wth am I supposed to do with that?!?! Oh, and btw, that one I caught was with one of Wayne's setups.
  23. spearmint works best in the spring, unflavored works better in the summer and winter. Only use a leader with unflavored, using it with spearmint would defeat the purpose of the flavor because they couldn't taste it.
