  1. I like to fish them with a 1/8 oz keel-weighted hook. When you toss it out, it falls in a slow spiral. In slightly stained water the bass love it.
  2. I'll have about 200' of cord with me, in various lengths.
  3. Now THAT is some good information to know! Is the channel marked back into Doublehead?
  4. Pete, plan on serving at around 6:00. We have a banquet room booked, but I don't yet know where it is located. Give me a call when you get to the resort and I'll point you in the right direction. Let me know if you need plates, cutlery, drinks, etc. Edit: Gene beat me to it with the response.
  5. The person who wrote the following sentence must be a genius. Can anyone tell me why? "I do not know where family doctors acquired illegibly perplexing handwriting; nevertheless, extraordinary pharmaceutical counterbalancing indecipherability transcendtallizes intercommunication's incomprehensibleness."
  6. I'm not so much interested in the lures as I am the places to fish. Based on what I see from satellite imagery is that the lake is muddy for a few miles below the dam. I'm sorely tempted to run west for about five miles before I attempt to wet a hook. Any comments?
  7. Congratulations! Marriage is a great institution, if you want to be committed to an institution. I've been committed for 43 years, and I don't want to be released.
  8. How do you fish a Senko on this lake?
  9. I wasn't sure how to list Susan. I figured that "his latest Squeeze, Susan" wouldn't work, so I used "friend." Anywho I have corrected my mistake. Apologies to Susan.
  10. Here is the latest list of attendees. This makes 31 of us so far. If you have not submitted a Registration Form, you are not on the list. 00Mod Alpster Ark Bassin is Addicting BassnChris & wife Beckie BG RTR Big-O - Yes, he is going to be able to make it this year. 11. It was a great trip! Only half of us were brutally murdered by the drug cartel. The rest of us survived the AK-47 fire and RPGs to catch some really awesome bass. Uh, and the Margueritas weren't bad either. I expect that 00Mod will fill you in on the details.
  12. When I was a youngster, the only shows on Saturday mornings were cartoons; but then, we had only three black&white channels to choose from. Not surprisingly, my brothers and I spent most of our time outdoors. Those were great years - and we never got arrested.
  13. I'm back from an unforgettable trip to Mexico. MamphisFF, welcome to our humble group. You are going to have a ball. I await your Registration Form with the revised address. Just a word for all potential attendees; the resort held our block on the cabins for an extra couple of weeks, but have now been forced to let them go to the general public. If there is anyone out there who is still interested in joining us, you need to make a decision, and quickly.
  14. If you are talking about the one behind the desk, then yes. The gal in glasses? No.
  15. I would describe it as garbage. As for Gallows and Kilville, they're not bad.
  16. Raider strikes again. It's whereFORE.
  17. OK, Oh Wise One, paint us a scenario of how this wasn't preventable. Just one. Be sure to include the following facts: Neither individual was wearing a PFD. The boat was in gear and the motor was running. The kill switch was operational, with lanyard attached.
  18. Raider, don't worry about it. Lamborghini would not sell you a car. It would be bad for their image. They sell to Industrial Magnates, Wall Street Wheeler-Dealers, Real-Estate Developers, Professional Athletes, and Drug Dealers. Anyone who actually works for a living, despite the money in their wallet, would fail to get on the waiting list.
  19. It's going to be a busy 36 days for me. On the 22nd I'm headed to Lake Baccarac, Mexico for a week. Then on Apr. 6th, I'm headed to Toledo Bend for a week. It's tentative at this time, but after I get back from the Bend, I'm hoping to sandwich in a couple of days of fishing with Bighead on Lake Fork before heading out for the Road Trip. I am much too well bred to say anything like "Eat your hearts out." I would especially never say such a thing to my Northern Brethren, who see nothing but white at this time of year.
  20. Mac,as in the past, I expect that you will find a few BR freebies lying around, and you can pick up even more stuff in the Tackle The Storm auction.
  21. Yes. Details to follow.
  22. And Bass guitars, and emBASSies, and amBASSadors, and suBASSemblies, and BASSoons, and ...
  23. Wow, this thread has gone on for well over a page. I think someone should lock it.
