  1. I'm sure this has been asked before but maybe its changed for some. What shoes ( if any) do you wear while fishing? I personally still haven't been able to find a pair of tennis shoes that are comfortable enough to stand in all day fishing so I've been wearing crocks. They are very comfortable but they get slick quick and are not the most agile
  2. There's a reason black/brown/orange/red/green are so popular jig colors. Almost all crayfish are one or more of these colors. No matter where you are located
  3. Yep its a lot easier getting up to fish then it is to got to work! I get a little nervous before tourneys. Mainly thinking about my game plan for the next day. I sleep better the night before if I'm the boater and worse if I'm the non boater which is weird since there's less to do being a non boater.
  4. Nice gesture man, I don't know anybody personally but someone sure will appreciate it
  5. Where'd he get all that talent Catt? Your wife must have the good gene's Congrats too him, he showed out!
  6. True stories are the best stories, you can't make that stuff up up lol
  7. I think I get what you mean. Is it more pivoting than rolling? If so it is designed to pivot to somewhat conform to the hull of the boat, sounds like it may be a little too loose though. Should be obvious with boat off trailer, just compare it to the others
  8. I have 2. Bought one and had a guide insert fall out(possibly my fault) and Abu sent me a replacement so I fixed the original. I've caught over a hundred bass on mine with no issues, I like mine.
  9. B. I'm a poser
  10. No idea but I've owned a few over 30 Years old. If the compression is good and it was taken care of I don't worry about the hours. I don't know how many hours my 97 has but it runs great
  11. Lake Seminole is a great lake in northern florida. Just type in lake Seminole camping. I know of atleast 2 campgrounds
  12. We've all been there. I've had different experiences though. For instance I've had keys and a trailer hitch lock ride on my bumper all the way to the lake. No idea how At least you were only going home and not fishing. Ever been cat fishing without any bait? Makes it hard to catch em!
  13. I believe that's the plan. Wait for a sale. Since goretex is the only fabric that gets consistent good reviews. Im really not interested in spending $200 on just a pair of bibs though, sure wish I wore tall sizes so I could jump on the $99 dollar guidewear sale. Thanks all
  14. Good one. There was an older guy at my church who would always fall asleep during the service, one day his wife nudged him awake and said "Dave they asked you to pray". So he stands up and starts to pray right in the middle of preaching. Everyone turns around confused and then all just bow their heads to go along with it. Including the preacher. He doesn't fall asleep anymore
  15. Yea sure, Flyshack.com has em for $140 but only in cobalt blue. When you say you have the jacket do you have the challenger jacket? If so how is the material as far as waterproof/windproof and have you washed it without it changing?
  16. I found some bibs on clearance but not sure what size to get, do you buy simms your regular size or the next size up to compensate for wearing clothes underneath?
  17. @Glenn think I'm going to pick up a pair of the Simms bibs. Do they fit true to size? (I see Simms sizing chart but still would like to confirm) And if so do you normally buy the next size up so they can be worn over clothes? Thanks
  18. I also have went to exclusively using seibert jigs.( dredge brush)I love the hook and the brush heads come through wood better than any other, you really can't beat his quality and price. Ive tried many and feel I now have no reason to change anything I will use a variety of trailers but for the most part its the rage tail menace, zoom fat Albert twin tail, rage craw, keitech and GY paddle tails. I fish jigs all year long and these cover all my bases for my area.
  19. Good info tom. Its a fun day when they are eating the flutter spoon. I normally use 4 and 5" spoons. Either BPS brand or strike King have worked well for me. Most important thing you said and people should remember is to add a quality swivel. Nothing twist your line more than a spoon
  20. Cotton Cordell's "crazy shad" and also the "boy howdie"
  21. Yea I'm definitely realizing $100 bucks doesn't go far. Hard to spend $300 on something that is stored up 90% of the time though.
  22. Didn't find much on a search, looking for some good warm weather rain gear. Somewhere around the hundred dollar range. Looking for quality comfort and packs easy. What yall use? Thanks
  23. I've caught fish in the same places early. And had the same results as you with the bite dying off mid morning. I think its because they aren't staying put. Probably into some cover close by. This has been my experience anyway.
  24. Them dredgers now your go to? I see you putting them to work
