Backlash help please!!
I don't think I can add anything that hasn't already been said. I just wanted to say I've never heard of 6# braid that is incredibly small and I'm not sure why it would be needed for anything

Color ?
So getting past which color you buy. When do you change colors? When you stop catching after they have been hitting? What if you haven't had a bite all day, is it the colors fault or are there just not fish there? So change color or change lure or both? These are the questions I sometimes ask myself

What's your preferred line for fiberglass crankbait rods?
I'm running trilene XT 10# right now for my deep cranks. I would personally use the XL you already have unless you only like square bills. Then I would get something a little tougher since they are normally used around wood

Part One: Suggest A Topwater Lure
I only own 4 topwater lures. Zara spook Pop R Jitterbug Buzzbait My favorite is the spook. It cast great and catches fish

Trilene XT vs. Trilene XL

- Crankbait trick that catches fish and saves money
This may well be true but I've never paid any attention to hard bait scent or taste. There are strictly a reaction bite lure and as soon as its in there mouth there hooked without time to taste- Go to bait when fishing new Pond/Lake.
Most of my choices are made by weather and the make up of the pond like grass, pads, shallow, deep, clear, murky. And also time if year. Best answer I can give without all these variables is a plastic worm always works.- How much is to much
Agreed. I'm not a tourney fisher but still don't think I could justify more than 8 or 10. I think I could almost retie a lure by the time most could get a rod out of a locker. Especially one that's on the bottom with 10 on top of it. Lol- Crankbait trick that catches fish and saves money
I have done this with regular markers before but I'll have to try spike it ones. Thanks- Trilene XT vs. Trilene XL
I wonder if they are the same then? I've only ever used XT and I like it but I've heard others prefer XL which is why I made topic. Need a new spool for crank setup and figured I'd see the difference, maybe there is no diff.- Top 5 Plugs
KVD squarebills (sexy shad, red craw) StrikeKing XD series cranks (chartreus sexy shad, Tennessee shad, Splatterback) Bomber Fat Free Shad (pearl) Heddon super spook (any color) Strike King Red Eye Shad (natural shad, blue/chrome) I know this is hypothetical but I would hate only fishing these for a year lol- Trilene XT vs. Trilene XL
Which do you prefer and why? What's the difference?- Exclusive: Bassmaster names Toledo Bend No. 1 again
my lake and river is very under harvested. We are also overrun with spots, I eat all legal spots but one guy cant make much difference.- Double Keitech rig
Well ive only used the rig a time or two and when I watched it worked it was done with very quick twitches which made the flukes swim back and forth across each other on every twitch. Maybe there are other methods I don't know of- Double Keitech rig
This may very well work but I don't think the boot tail is ideal for how this rig is fished. I've always used boot tail baits with a slower presentation so the tail does its lifelike shimmy. This is only my opinion though couldn't hurt to try- Exclusive: Bassmaster names Toledo Bend No. 1 again
I willing to bet that's why its so good. I just read something the other week that said everyone harvesting bass at Toledo was killing it lol. I wish more people would eat the bass around here, makes for a balanced fishery- Exclusive: Bassmaster names Toledo Bend No. 1 again
Too bad it wont last with everyone eating bass out there. JK!- Staying on Waypoints / HB casting rings
I also have trouble with this. Right now I use a marker buoy and i pick an object on the bank to align with. So when I line up with the buoy and the spot on shore it should be pretty close. Still not perfect but can't afford the 360 sonar so its my best option- Abu Vengeance & Vigilante
I also picked up a vigilante at Walmart for $15 the other day. It was the last one too- Night Fishing - Bright Vs. Dark Nights
Thanks for that great summarization of info. It seems with your logs and 3 other experienced night anglers that its safe to say its a fact that the moon acts as the sun when night fishing. I am going to start my night ops this year and this will be in my thoughts as I plan. Thanks again.- High Quality Reel For Cheap $
BPS pro qualifier. The reviews speak for itself. I'm waiting on a sale where they normally go down to 89 or even 79. They are $99 regular price. I have 3 and that's all I fish.- Fishing same location vs trying new spots
I live about 10 mins from the Chattahoochee river and about 30 mins from lake eufaula which is an impoundment of the chattahoochee. Its about 45,000 acres. I exclusively fish these 2 mainly because there so close. But I also live about an hour from lake Seminole in FL which is a great bass lake that holds classic events almost every year and I've been dying to fish it but I don't want to just go down for the day knowing I wont be able to learn much. Been planning a camping trip there so I can atleast spend a few days.- Left Hand Retrieve VS Right Hand Retrieve
I am going to consider doing this myself. I have the same profession and I feel ya on the hand cramps. I'll have to switch handle sides on a spinning to see how it feels before I invest in LH baitcaster. - Color ?
