  1. timmyswetarted whats your bass count for 2006?? :-?
  2. Oh yeah fogot to add. I've also seen them on night dives. I'll be down there with my light and ocationally one of the ghostly looking squid will come up to the light. One time me and my partner (dive partner) came upon a school of them. Freaky thats all im gonna say, it was an awesome sight.
  3. Those are some nice looking squid. Good eating, and good bait. I've been a few times over here in Newport,RI. You have to come early and fight to get a spot on the small bridge we jig off of. Seriously you stand shoulder to shoulder, with mostly thai, cambadian, and alot of none eglish speaking folks, entire families grandma to 4yr olds. We usually go at night and hang a camping lantern over the side and lower it down on a clothes line. The squid are attracted to the light. It's pretty cool you hook into one and as your bringing him up he's squirting ink all over the place. Inabout 2 hrs you can fill a five gallon bucket. Squid usually run May and June here. It's alot of fun.
  4. Just the desire to fish or hunt autmaticly makes us all 5's. And I think everyone wants a 3. And besides tourney, the rest is,well, fishing. It's what we do

  9. just a note, frogs will bite anything red, fabric, cardbaord from a marlboro pack, a lure.Put alittle piece on a hook and present that, its pretty wild. This old french men when i was a kid tought me that, then he would buy the frogs from me for lunch. He ate the legs i would go get ice cream from the ice cream truck.
  10. Yeah its easier to get the hook out of the cup than the cat ;D
  11. Oh and just to add my first fishing rod when i was 9 was a broom handle my cousin made me use with about 10 feet of line on it. So I agree with RW, its not the rod the reel the line when your first starting out its how much you learn from trial and error.
  12. If at first you don't succeed; cast, cast again.

  24. ice isn't a problem in NE. frozen ponds and lakes bring out the ice fishermen. Get your chain saw cut your hole drop your line in and don't worry about the cold we just build a fire on the ice. I see just as many ppl ice fishing in DEC to FEB as i do all year round.
