Flooded lakes of Fairfax county...
Greentop is geared more for the seriuos angler. BPS and Gander Mountian have to much junk/bling that has zero appeal to me. I don't need "real tree slippers and a fleece bath robe" to buy tackle ;D. Come on Rob, don't you know it's not about fishin good, it's about lookin good while doing it!

Gander Mountain is good, we hit that up on the way to lake Gaston sometimes. It's a clean place, with great stuff. Green tops is right around the corner, I saw it when we took a wrong turn. Didn't go in, but wish I did. Maybe we'll hit it up steve.

Flooded lakes of Fairfax county...
My brother and I DID TERRIBLE on sunday.........We got skunked > > > > Not even one SINGLE bite. We started off on the "winning" pattern. Backs of creeks flippin jigs....We must have done this until 9:30, 2 hours of flippin in the back of creeks without a bite....So we went uplake and just threw it away. The winners (the Sparks) were flippin in the backs of creeks all day, their first fish was a 4 1/2 lber and they had 15 lbs to win. Wish I could have gotten on that flippin bite, it's what I thrive on. ;D

Fishing the Occ or Fountainhead Sunday 9/7
Well well well, looks like rain I love fishing after that place has been rained on, when it is cloudy, or it IS raining. It is usually at it's best then. Tournament day on Sunday, theres tons of boats out so launching can be a hassle sometimes. I'll be there at around 5:15 ready to go. Good luck, and see you out there.

Fountainhead 8-30-08
Haha thanks man! I see you had some motor trouble? They really need to get ontop of that. They have some issues. They need to get a whole new stock of batteries and trolling motors because every post I see someone has a dead battery or messed up motor : And that is NOT a short walk up them steps with a 40 lb battery.

Preparing for winter
Last year I wore Under Armour coldgear and it was THE BEST. I can't even tell you how bad it would have been without it. My Brother and I would be out fishing when it's 27 degrees and cloudy not having one worry about it being "cold" ;D.

Start Up For Drop Shotting
That is my next goal to tackle....drop shotting.... : I have tried before and caught some fish but never fish it enough. That's my problem, I can't stick with it!!! I always used a trick worm, and that's what I'll be using when I start fishin it again.

Jig Fishing Question
Keep that jig tied on. My favorite lure to fish is a jig, and it took me a while to learn how, and it was pretty tough, but I got it down. I'm no pro, but it's my best technique and I feel the most comfortable throwing them. Stick with the black blue color combo and throw them into cover. Most of the bites I get the fish will hit it on the fall and run out of the cover. Not too many of my fish sit on the jig, but some will. I had a tournament with Pigsticker where we were on a GREAT jig bite and I missed one because I couldn't tell the fish was sitting there with the jig in its mouth. I pulled it over a limb of a tree (in about 12ft of water) and I thought I was stuck onto another but the fish had it in it's mouth....needless to say I felt the bite, had him hooked but I definetly set way to late and missed the fish when he jumped. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS SET THE HOOK.As James Hall says "That bass nearly took the rod outta my hands!!!" ;D If it feels ANY different SET IT!!!!!! Who cares if you look goofy. You will learn what you are hitting with your jig after time too, (pulling over limbs underwater, logs, rocks.....)

The thing about this is that Jack really is a great person. He will help you with any questions you have and I mean REALLY help you. He also sent me a whole box of plastics, and crankbaits that he had around. He offered me the backseat of his boat as well at the last BR trip. Sorry this had to happen Jack.- four or five pounder
Are you fishin the C&O canal there? Looks like it.... Nice lookin fish, try to weigh them in pounds. Also, keep fishin that jig and you'll get your 4, 5, 6, 10lber. Jigs are my favorite, and they catch me nice fish- It's my turn...Starting first Swimbait. (Update: Video Added)
That bait has some great action to it. Wish I could get around to tryin to make baits ;D- rage tail help needed
That's cause Pigsticker and I got them all ;D VMC's are very good as well.- My Nightmare Came True Today
Take this time to learn to use your baitcaster. Once you learn, you will never want to go back. They're great, especially for heavy cover and the frog fishing that you do.- Tropical Storm Fay
We are staying in Punta Gorda just north of Fort Myers. No damage, and no lunkers today. Caught 7 up to 3 lbs.- GOT A BOAT!!!
Sweet. Are you going to add decks to it?- Florida Pond fishing new pb for my brother/pics.
Hey LCpointerkiller, thanks for the tip. We talked to a local guide down here when he took us out for reds and snook and he said that the golf course ponds were freshwater and loaded with bass. I would really like to try a salt water pond though. Baby tarpon! That would be awesome.- New Evo II Jigs Now Available
Hahaha it's alright. Can't wait to try your new jigs! - Yall pray for Fishfordollars
