Crawfish coloring
That soft craw is smaller than the real claw. I've seen near-lobster sized crayfish in the local river and in a local kids only pond, believe it or not. They do get to be some wild color combos.

Measure or Weigh?
Weigh. I've debated carrying a tape but I'm not keeping any so I don't see a point. My weights are digital as I have a Chinese made quarrow grip scale. Looking to upgrade at some point. I weigh anything I believe to be above a pound. I find it fun so I do it.

Fishing through wrist pain
Somewhat similar but not... I've been fishing through elbow pain from work lately. Working behind a serial over tightener on second shift, removing molds with bolts so tight you should be using breaker bars or cheater pipes but are too cool to do that and over working the elbows and wrists. So I've been focusing on every cast to make sure to use extra care to use the correct motions and not over extend myself. Otherwise ice probably helps.i be fished less in the last week or so due to this. SUCKS. Do not however give up fishing as you will probably die from a broken heart.

What a day
I had the same exact day last week where every strike was a miss or near miss. Totaling about 5 strikes in 3 hours and 2 reeled in on wooly bugs.

If you could fish with anyone from the forums, who would it be?
Catt, A-jay, WRB, probably any mod, and anyone who likes my wise-acre remarks. I can get on people's nerves being sarcastic and never taking things too seriously but I've got a good pair of listening ears too. And Glenn of course. And any bankers who make the best of what they got.

You might be addicted to bass fishing if...
I find ice fishing cold and boring. I'm interested in the giant pike and muskies people pull through the ice on a couple local lakes but I'll just look at the pictures when people brag at work. I enjoyed it as a kid but I'm not a fan of winter anymore. I can drink beer in my warm house instead of a frozen creaky tundra.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Silver or gold spoons. Think brass colored. They're huge out here but I've only managed a couple small ones. I don't often try for them on purpose though either.

I'm patiently waiting for a review/pics of some savage gear suicide duck action. I think I remember seeing a couple on here.

Chatterbait situations
I seem to only catch bass on them fishing them pretty slowly. My 3/8 zman pulls through weeds cleanly probably 90% of the time. This is light, stringy, mostly scattered weeds though. I'm limited on how much and how often I've used them but the split tail trailer has been most effective for me so far.

First time out with the whopper plopper 90
I fished the 130 for about 45 minutes in slightly choppy water without a bite this morning. This has almost always been unproductive water for me anyhow so I was just killing time after work.

Somewhere you just can't catch a bass.
The lake 5 minutes from my house. I caught about 6-7 good smallies there last year after ice-out but that's about it. Otherwise maybe 10 or so rock bass since I was a little kid. I watched a kid pull out a 7 pounder maybe 10 years ago and a ton of trout come out just after stocking but I strike out there alot. 9 times out of 10 the most productive bank spots are taken. I'll give it more of a chance this fall.

First time out with the whopper plopper 90
I don't think I'll try the double plopper unless the price comes down. Even then I wouldn't want to buy it knowing its kinda flimsy from what I've read here.
