  1. I love this area so many good ponds to fish! I’m learning new ponds every year!
  2. Haha you never seen them jump through the hole. It’s pretty awesome!
  3. I fish mine differently. I fish it like a regular jig. Slow on bottom. The hair and feathers have a very natural fluid movement. It’s good for finicky fish or cold lethargic fish. A hairy ned rig is awesome. these 2 fish were caught in a pond that was 90% frozen solid. Got 5 bass and 5 pickerel on my jigs in an hour. i don’t bass fish much in the summer. Fall, winter and spring are when I bass fish.
  4. I’ve had some smallies fight and even jump in the super cold! They still pull drag, fight much better then largemouth
  5. I’ve had 20 smallie days Ice fishin. The thing with winter is they STACK UP. Once you find where they are you know they aren’t moving. They’ll be there every winter, all winter. Some times you may need to sweet talk em to get em to bite. Other times they’ll be chewin
  6. I mostly fish slow, swimbaits, topwaters, plastics, jigs. I very rarely fish spinners, crankbaits or anything like that. I definitely need to use them more. But I love dragging baits on bottom
  7. Fished the night night. My first 2 ponds weren’t producing. Super cloudy water. I did miss one on the T rig Rage smokin rooster up shallow. Fished another pond I’ve never night fished before. Couldn’t get anything on swimbaits, spinner baits, t-rig, and chatterbait. Worked hard for 3 small fish. 1 was on the buzz jet, 2 on the shell cracker. They loved these baits. Had a bunch of blow ups
  8. Up here in Massachusetts during a winter hurricane, Nor’eastah Nemo. A pond located on the ocean got flooded with sea water. It killed all the bass. You used to be able to catch a 5lb bass and a 30 inch striper in very shallow water. But now it’s all stripers. I ain’t complaining haha.
  9. Hands down the best glide bait I’ve ever used was a DS customs floating glide bait. You can get it to work in super super shallow water. I’ve used a Deps 175, savage gear and spro glides. Never really liked them until the Ds glide. In one month of fishing it. The first month I’ve owned it. I got a 8lbs 2 ounce, 7lb 5 ounce, 7lbs 1 ounce 5lbs 11 ounce 5lb even and a bunch of fish under 5. I had the best bass fishing I’ve ever had in my 32 years of fishing Massachusetts on this bait:
  10. Went to Ny over the weekend with my buddy and his buddy. I was looking for my first drum, gar or coho salmon. We fished salmon river and Oswego. We caught nothin. The guy we brought up couldn’t walk well so we were screwed from the start. I need to go back to bass fishin. Going on These fishing trips and not catching is getting real old!
  11. Been wanting a tuna forever. So many heart breaks. Spooled, bent swivel, broke off, pulled hook, etc. Finally got my tuna. Got this fish early in the trip. Got it jigging on the spinning rod. My fish went 51 inches 60lbs. My buddy mark got one shortly after. About the same size. We released that fish! I ate the whole heart!
  12. It was a good weekend. Pike fishing Sunday. Slow bite. Got one on my new DS gill glide. First fish. Had 2 other big whacks. Monday. Woke up to stripers blitzing off my dock. Grabbed 3 off the dock, then 3 more on the kayak
  13. 45 ain’t bad. I drove 1hr 45 to Ri for saltwater fishin. I had stripers jumping out behind my house at sunrise this morning when I was getting ready for work!
  14. I slow crawl with a hop or 2. I fish 10 feet plus on structure ledges, rocks, points. Sandy bottom. My summer Arsenal is a big jig, a tube and a soft plastic swimbait like a savage gear, Matt’s shad, a real prey. All fished pretty much the same. Slow and on bottom deep. I will throw a t rig craw and creature in that mix.
  15. I love deep jiggin this time of year! Caught some very nice fish over the years.
  16. Larry Dalhberg frog can swim under water. It’s a hard body frog with a lip/weed guard and soft legs
  17. I have my confidence baits on. I fish each spot with each bait I have rigged up. If that doesn’t work I will keep 2 rods with confidence baits and the others with a different approach. I love fishing tubes, jigs and t rigs in clear deeper ponds so I’ll have those rigged always. Then try a jerkbait, spinner bait or topwater. I go slow at the start then pick up speed. But most of the time a jig, tube and t rig will get em
  18. I love the rage craw t rig crawled or as a jig trailer.
  19. Im Happy you’re getting on the salt!
  20. Almost went bassin yesterday, haven’t really been since April. We decided for salt instead. I’m going to try and get out this week
  21. Fished in RI for chub mackerel today. Saw plenty but couldn’t get them the weeds were brutal. I caught 2 scup and a puffer fish. My first local puffer, I’ve caught them in NC a few years ago.
  22. Who is he?
  23. My buddy gave me some old lures his warehouse was going to throw away. Some are new few of them from the 90s There’s a bunch of Rebel Shad’s. Any info?
