Where does your wife keep them? Purse or in a safety deposit box??? In case you are wondering, I am referencing your testes. ;D LOL Sorry dude, couldnt resist. Give the guy a break. Perhaps there are other issues to consider here. . . accountability issues for something else. Let's play nice, boys and girls!

Highlighting some good
What a bargain for him!! His $1.00 lesson taught you a lifetime of honesty. Great to hear stuff like this! Is he still alive? If so, it would make his day to go back and share this with him. God bless, Fisher

my current fishing wall
Man, with the crap you have to put up with there, you can mount 50 bass if you want. I'm not going to argue with you. Let's see, there's something missing there. . . Ah, it won't be complete without Muddy's crack picture. . . that'll complete it. ;D

I hope I catch the jerk
Man, I freaked out for a minute when I just read the first few words. I thought someone had ran over and killed your three year old daughter. You'd have to put me in jail to keep me from them. In defense of whoever did it, if it was dark they may not known that they hit it. I've hit squirrels before on a bumpy road and never known it until I looked in the rear view. I've hit people's dogs a time or two before and always stopped. I agree though; shame on them if they did this knowledgeably.

Energy saving bulb safety concerns
Hey guys, I saw this story on the local news last night. I found it a little alarming in that I've recently bought more of these to use in our light fixtures. I knew that street lamps had mercury in them, but had no idea that these bulbs did. It still doesn't deter me from buying them, but I will use caution not to break them and find a proper place to dispose of them (where I don't know). What's Wrong with this picture? Can of Worms
$3540 a month for family health insurance. And I thought $700 a month out of my paycheck was expensive. My problem with the industry is all the expensive medicine ads that are on TV. If the pharm. companies would spend less $$$ on advertising, maybe the prices wouldn't have to be so high. I don't know about anyone else, but it seems that they are just making up new illnesses to sell new drugs. In some cases, they give initials and acronyms to old illnesses to sell new drugs (AR, RLS, COPD, etc.) Someone who has suffered from arthritis for many years are now scared by the new diagnosis of "AR" and sold another high price medicine to take. One of you mentioned a "cycle of fear". I can't agree more that that "cycle of fear" is making the medical industry rich (no telling how much they've made from selling anti-bacterial soaps over the last few years; this new coverage of staph infections is only selling more). All very frustrating to me. :-/

the old soldier
Thanks Grimlin! I think about my grandfather-in-law. He did three tours in WWII (Sicily, Italy, France + D-day). For years he'd never talk about it. Over the past few years, he's shared with me more than he ever shared with my wife. Last fall, I learned even more. He went to be with the Lord on Feb. 1st of this year. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for our Vets. God bless them all!!

Are you a Nintendo nerd?
Sorry, I didn't know any of them (maybe the Mario Bros. question. . . my wife's VERY young sister had a super nintendo). Now ask me something about the Atari 2600 and I might be able to answer some questions. You caught me in a generation gap.

A little Humor
5 girls. I surprised that you're still sane after that. I only have one 9 year old and she's driving us crazy right now.

This is werid.
Whenever we see anything white, it's usually in the form of sleet or freezing rain. I'd like to see a 12 inche downpour come our way sometime (Christmas would be awesome. . . for my daughter of course. . . I would enjoy it, too.)

Fighting Tigers #1
As much as I agree with you, it'll never happen. Too much $$$ in the bowl games.

Colts vs. Chargers
I'm with Ceph on this one. I see this as motivation for the Colt team to come back stronger. I'm always afraid of a team that peaks too early in the season and flops in the playoffs (kind of like the Colts of two or three years ago). If they can come back healthy by the end of the season, look out. They'll be right there to challenge the Pats. Unfortunately, it will be on New England's home turf (especially after this loss to San Diego).

College Hoops about to start
Very funny, Long Mike!! ;D I used to be that way too, but my interest in college hoops has peaked over the past few years, partly due to my Aggies success. I just hope we can be as successful as we've been in the past now that we're without Acie Law and Billy Gillespie. I've heard that Mark Turgeon plays hard defensive ball just like Gillespie though. We'll see. KU- Yes, I'm enjoying the Jayhawks' success of late, too. The OSU game was a pleasure to watch and I think Missou and OU should be very concerned about you guys.

Help me figure out Shimano in the 1980s...
I bought a BMag1001 (left hand version) and a BMag1000 for my wife back in 1988. These were the first baitcasters I fished with (other than the Garcia 5001-another lefty that I fished with since around 1982). I still have one of them working today; I use it as a catfishing/all purpose reel. They were just about all I could afford back then @ $39.95 a piece. They served me well. I bought mine at K-mart. I think Wal-mart had pretty much the same reel (only black) called a Bantam Mag 100 for about the same price. Both had two ball bearings.

Chinese Recalls
What bugs me is when something is re-called, the manufacture's just say "throw it away immediately". How about "giving my money back"? Why can't these manufacturers be held accountable for their slip-ups when they fail to inspect their merchandise properly?

First ever baitcasting reel
I'd give it a is the body of the reel is metal. Offer $75 and work your way up. . . you never know. Just my .02- Fisher

I relapsed !
Sam, Have you tried the Diet Coke with Splenda? They taste more like real Coke than regular diet coke. It tastes kind of like a Coke with a hint of lime in it. It's kind of odd to hear you guys talking about "chewing" snuff. Around here we say "dipping" snuff and "chewing" tobacco. I guess I've discovered another "regional" term like "coke" and "pop". Bassn- Like many have said, just start over and realize that you were off the stuff for awhile. If you've been off that long, you can do it again. Soon, the "back on" times will get farther apart followed by never. Just hang in there!!

10 things the DMV won't tell

A vent
I'll keep you in my prayers tonight, Russ. Something else to remember: Grass doesn't grow on the mountain top. Sometimes you have to spend time in the valleys in order to grow in spirit and character. Hang in there! God bless, Fisher
