  1. Hey Speed, Thanks for creating this thread. It's been an interesting read, kind of allowing me to get to know some of you better. Thanks to everyone for sharing. Well, my handle is pretty self explanatory. I am a part-time music minister as well as a teacher who LOVES to bass fish. As a Christian, I feel strongly about sharing my faith with others and being a positive example for them, hence "Fisher of Men". God bless!
  2. Heh heh....I laugh everytime I look at your avatar and name. ;D . So, Hookem Down, how long are you required to keep up this charade. . . or are you going to just leave it that way since your Sooners completely embarassed the Big 12. I would expect such flopping by my Aggies, but the Sooners. . . no way.
  3. Hey Burley, I forgot how much you make us laugh. Welcome back as well!! ;D -Fisher
  4. AND don't forget that your car insurance rates will be cheaper.
  5. Well, all I can say is my Ag's built some character last night. I have to give JoePa credit for making adjustments and the Lions outplaying the Ags in the second half. I'm sure that idiot yell-leader's comments about bringing Paterno a casket to the game didn't help any. There's one in every bunch. . . unfortunately, this time it was in our bunch. Well, I see that 'Bama is taking on Colorado tonight. Does anyone think Saban can pull this one off and earn his massive pay check? The Buffs did upset OU earlier this year! Well, maybe the Aggies will fair better in roundball conference play. Gigem'!!
  6. Two vehicles: - One was my first truck. . . a 1974 International Scout II. That thing was baby blue with white wagon spoke wheels and a 258 six cylinder. I wrecked the back rear fender and it started to need a ring job. I let my Dad talk me into selling it for $600. I could kick myself for not keeping it. -The other was my second truck. . . a 1972 1/2 ton Chevy fleet side. Blue with rally wheels, 327 w/ 300 hp double hump heads, high-rise intake, 4 barrell quadrajet, and a TH 400 tranny. That thing was the fastest truck in town for a while. I wrecked it, let it set up for a long time, and finally let it go for a $1,000. Again I would like to kick myself in the pants for that one.
  7. Well, it looks like I missed a pretty exciting Holiday Bowl last night, however, I did spend some QUALITY time with my cousins and their spouses playing games. The bowl games are about to come and go fast. I'm ready to see how my Aggies do tomorrow night. There's not been much talk on these games. Feel free to drop some comments about your favorite match-up.
  8. Funny, Avid. That bounced off of them like a rubber ball!!
  9. Believe it or not, but I missed it. We were talking about it the other night and I realized that my 9 year old daughter hadn't seen it. I think we'll rent it next week. Classic movie!
  10. I got a new Texas Aggie watch, a Brett Favre jersey (these won't be around forever), a Jam Session game for the Nintendo DS, lots of worms, spinnerbaits, and lizards, and $300 cash. It's hard to go wrong with cash! The most important gift for me is to be with my GREAT family!! I'm going to see the in-laws today (and believe it or not, I actually like them, too.)
  11. What Sam said X2. SFC Al, God bless you and all of our service personnel this Christmas Day. We owe all of you a debt of gratitude for our freedom. Also, God bless all those employees at Jack in the Box. We've got to have SOMEWHERE to stop while on the road at Christmas.
  12. Six down, 26 to go. Gig'em Aggies!!
  13. To keep with the tradition I've set in the last two years, please allow me to share with you the Christmas story from Luke 2: So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." God bless each and every one of you this Christmas!! Take full advantage of the time you share with your families and let them know that you care for them. -Fisher <><
  14. When I was that age we pedaled it or pushed it. Youth! :
  15. May God fill your lives with joy and love this Christmas!! You guys do a great service for all of us. Thank you so much for all you do! MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS!! God bless, Fisher
  16. So TF, how does it feel to have a beat down coming your way? Aaaah, let the trash talking begin !! Isn't America great?
  17. Yes, Wolfgang looks as though he's "wolfed" down some serious chow growing up. I always like VH with David Lee instead of Sammy. Sammy added a new dimension with the extra guitar and different voice, but it wasn't the same. It's good to hear the Eddie's gotten clean.
  18. O.K. One down, 31 more to go. This one seemed like a pretty good game (although distractions kept me from watching it in its entirety). I'm 0-1 on my pick so far. The big matchup for tonight is Memphis vs. Florida Atlantic in the New Orleans Bowl. Any thoughts on who will win this one? I'll go with Memphis although I really have no idea who will win. Where are our college football fans? I've heard nothing from you guys. Maybe some better bowl matchups next week will stir you up.
  19. I think what threw me (and perhaps others) is that someone posted a problem about not being able to check their messages here since Glenn loaded the new format. I was going to tell you that he was working on it. None-the-less, a good one!! ;D
  20. Perhaps, although I've seen BPS put the Rapala scale on for as low as $12.99 before. I might shop around if you don't need the knife and pliers. Thanks for reminding me. I need a new set of scales before catching all those lunkers in the spring.
  21. Dude, that's funny! Thanks for the chuckle on this Thursday morning. ;D
  22. Yes, I was afraid of that when he left us for UK. To my knowledge, Tubby wasn't doing that bad of a job according to other school's standards was he? He had it good here in Aggieland. He'll probably soon find that out soon, because, as you say, I don't think the UK faithful will give him more than a year or two.
  23. Too funny! PM address book. That makes sense. :-[
  24. I noticed that a "Buddy List" is one of the new features available on the board. I consider all of you my buddies. Could someone explain the value and use of this new feature? :-?
  25. I don't know anything about your current roster (I assume they were recruited under Tubby), but give BCG some time and he'll have you guys back on top. It will take the players time to understand that he plays defense first. You might even see some go, but give him time to recruit some hardcore defenders and the team will improve. To think that he would have come in and been a success this year was a little unrealistic. It took him four or five years to get A&M where we are. I hate to say it, but part of me wants to smile a little. He kind of left us high and dry for "greener pastures". It looks like his pastures need a little fertilizer right now.
