  1. Couple hundred pounds? So now I can challenge him to a fight!
  2. I am so impressed with these guys. I had two broken rods that quite honestly I was embarrased to call and see if they would replace after they had already replaced one rod for me. I finally built up the courage. Without a hesitation, both rods were replaced and no questions asked. Hats off to the boys and girls at All Star. They have solidified me as a customer for life.
  3. Just incredible. Good job Chris!
  4. OH MAN! YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD! ;D
  5. Throughout the years, I have been into a few hobbies but the one that always brings me back is fishing. I would have to say that cars are a close second.
  6. That's the way, uhuh uhuh I like it, uhuh uhuh...

No way he was behind that much. However the old saying goes that you have to convincingly beat the champion. At that point the only chance kelly had of winning was by a knockout.
  8. You know I have been to both. In all honesty Mortons wins out in my book, maybe the local Ruth's isnt as good as yours.
  9. Avid! That is perfect! I thought he looked familiar! ;D ;D
  10. OK guys, some of the members here have to look like famous celebrities. Here is my start: Russ, aka LBH: Woody Harrelson.
  11. I can second that!! bacon and egg sandwiches, 4:30am,....what a trooper (she keeps Robert in line too;) :) She even made lunch for the guys in the other boat that we said "might" be out there, lol. Robert, what was that drink we got into before I left? the ones we made at the house? Glad you had a great meal but when you get here,......those collosal shrimp won't look like lobsters,..they'll BE lobsters No meal tops a New England Lobster Boil baby!!! Just the same,....Fluke,...I'll finish those oreos if you're done with 'em I forgot about that! It wasnt the first time she did that either. Those drinks were capirhinia's bud. Made with Brazilian rum. d**n. I think I'll go make one now.
  12. Must...resist...the urge...to buy more rods...
  13. Took the girlfriend to dinner last night. We could not decide where to go so flipped a coin between an asian "fusion" restaurant and Morton's Steak House. Mortons won. Since I've been doing so much fishing lately, I really wanted to spend a nice evening with my girlfriend Guille. She gets up at the crack of dawn to make me fresh egg and bacon sandwiches, packs incredible lunches for me AND my fishing buddies when we go, and even makes us snacks so we can have stuff to munch on when we eat. She is a Godsend. We sat down at the bar while our table was being prepped. Nice bar, great service. She ordered a Cadillac margarita, on the rocks, salt with Don Julio Anejo Tequila. She knows her stuff! I ordered a Mojito. We were off to a good start. Our table was ready, we sat down and I ordered a bottle of 04 Caymus "Special Select". One of my favorite cabs right now. I had the waiter decant the wine to allow it to breathe. We also ordered the Collosal Shrimp appetizer, Tuna tartare, and Bleu Cheese Fries. Those were especially good! The Collosal Shrimp looked like baby lobsters.... For our main courses Guille had the grilled salmon and I had the Ney York Strip steak, medium rare. This was without a doubt one of the best steaks I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection, juicy beyond compare, and the flavor was just incredible. I have to tell you that this was one of the most decadent meals I have ever had. I have eaten at many "fancy" restaurants that are all show and have mediocre food at best. Morton's is the real deal. Oh and by thw way, we left no room for dessert, but I certainly left with a big smile on my face.

  15. Dogfish in the Rio *****, Brazil. freshwater barracuda was an oddball too.
  16. That is not what you said when you were out here. ;D
  17. Wow. Talk about bringing back some memories! I was no more than 12. Mmy dad, his best friend and I went to buy some rods at the flea market to go fishing at the rock jetty in Moss Landing. I remember getting the biggest surf rod possible because you need a big rod to catch a big fish. ;D I ccould barely cast that thing ;D But I did manage to catch some perch and a flounder or two. Those were some of the best memories of my life.
  18. Bodega Bay Lures. Handmade, handpainted, and the quality is top notch.
  19. I'll take a Californian's word for it... You have chosen wisely Burley. My knowledge on this subject is vast. ;D
  20. Very cool. I am thinking of getting two, one for me and one for my girl. Thanks guys!
  21. Get a Hummer H2. Supercharge it like I did and like LBH says, you wont even notice that you are towing a boat. It only gets 9 mpg, but who's counting? Tell your girlfriend to sit down and hang on. ;D
  22. Congratulations man! Good job.
