Best bass rods and reels
Any time Gary. As far as MegaBass Lures are concerned, you can't go wrong. The problem I have is that I end up never using them because they are so beautiful! Beautiful Enzo by the way! My good friend Eric Peterson has an Enzo as well, use to belong to Sergei Federov.

Best bass rods and reels
Welcome to the best Bass board on the net. I like nice equipment. In the last year or so i got back into fishing myself. Bought a boat, several rods and reels, and like you, I want the best stuff available. For rods I have found a couple different companies make some realy nice offerings. I typically buy the best rods from their respective lines, and have been very happy with my purchases. Rods: I use to be a GLoomis diehard, but now my GLX rods are at the bottom of my boat. The new line of Steez rods by Daiwa are just awesome. Expect to pay anywhere from $350-$600 retail for these rods. When you pick them up and compare weight to other companies offerings, you will understand what I am talking about. I also really like Fenwick Techna AV rods. They are super light and super sensitive, and much more competitvely priced at ~$200 a piece. You cannot go wrong with either. Kistler rods I might add are very nice too. I use a 7'6" model for fishing frogs. Reels: Again, I was a huge fan of Shimano but Daiwa reels feel much more precise (no backplay) and simply look nicer in my opinion. Their Steez reels are insanely light, precise, and can handle just about anything you throw at them. For $450 they are money well spent. I also love their Zillion line of reels, which is their workhorse reel. Strong and for $250 they are a bargain. Not to mention that they can cast a lure a country mile. The one Shimano that I do find impressive is the Stella spinning reel. They run about $500, and paired with a Steez spinning rod there is no better spinning rod combo on this earth. Just ask Low Budget Hookers from the board. ;D

I want a GOOD knife. Benchmade, SOG, or?
OK guys, I bought my knife for the trip. After this thread I am sure it will not be the last knife I buy. SOG Team Elite.

Very nice Zel, but too pretty for my needs.

Do I have the right to be mad?
This may be takin it over the top....but it bugs me when people lie to make people feel bad for them or to make a situation seem different than it is. This site will prove that Captains claim of his county sharing 1 cop with another is not true.....http://www.co.juniata.pa.us/ Time to change your screen name from Captain to deck hand. ;D

Wow Gene, those are nice! But again I expect to use this knife and most of those look like collectibles.

Ok I have narrowed it down to these two knives: Benchmade Osborne Presidio Sog Seal Pup Elite Any thoughts on these guys?

Thanks guys. I like the Seal Pup as well, That looks like an excellent knife for the money. The Moran sounds nice, but this particular knife will get some use guys. That knife sounds like something I'd keep for display.

Hey guys, I'd like to pick up a great knife, folding would be great but not necessary. If it doesnt fold I'll carry it on a sheath. What do you guys recommend? Something in 5 - 7" is what I am looking for. Under $500 would be ideal.

Carrot Stick ordered
I spoke to the salesperson at E21 today. I am looking at more like 3 weeks to get it. The 6'9" rod weighs in at 3.2 ozs. I hope it comes in before I leave for Brazil....
