  7. Hey guys, I've tried locally, to no avail. I sent out my reel to get painted and the knuckle heads at the shop lost the dragstar. I need a replacement. Does not have to be the drilled version, if I could get it though that would be great. What drag star would work on this reel and where can I get it quickly? Thanks guys!
  8. Lay off the sauce Mook. ;D
  9. Congratulations! Let's see some pictures.
  10. That's the problem, there ain't no itch. ;D Russ, I've been making an effort to spend a little more money with local shops rather than ordering from Cabelas or Tackle Warehouse. The only problem is that having them as close as they are tends to lead to a lot of impulse buys. Came oh so close to getting a 50mg this morning. :-[ ;D I read this and seriously thought you wrote "Tackle Whorehouse"
  11. My first bass boat was a 2000 Ranger 520 DVX. Great boat, never had any major issues, and the minor problems I did have were taken care of by the dealer. When I sold that boat I got back more than I expected, which goes to show that Rangers do hold their value. November of '06 I was ready for a new boat. I SERIOUSLY considered Bass Cat, which also has local dealer support. Good looking boat, but around these parts the boat is not widely accepted like the Ranger. Also The dealer was not as friendly or helpful as the Ranger dealer. I took one look at the new Z series so I ordered a 2007 Ranger Z22 with the 300 Merc Racing Motor. I love my boat. Considering that the Ranger dealer takes care of me AFTER the sale, and that I know I will have no problem selling the boat when I decide to get another, I'd go with the Ranger in my area. Look at resale value and look at service. Both boats are great, but which is a better long term purchase? As far as the getting wet part, I've gotten sprayed a couple times, but nothing major and definitely nothing from keeping me from buying the boat.
  12. Congratulations on the new boat. Now go catch some more fish!
  13. Unless it's full of bass, forget it. That is pricey, whether your 14 or 140 like Muddy. ;D
  14. Tell your friend I said good luck. If he wants some Big peacocks he has to go a little further south.
  15. I worked. I worked. I worked. Cheked on the site. Worked some more. And more. A little more. Checked on the site. I missed you guys too.
  16. This reminds me of that silly stuff that feels like plastic AND stronger than steel? HAHAHA. Carbon fiber. Sounds like a dietary supplement. ;D I'll give you guys a full report once I get my carrot stick in October.

  21. I despise carp. One of the private lakes I fish at requests that you kill all carp you catch. I abide by the rules.
  22. ;D That is equal to FOUR JDM Steez rods.
  23. Sounds like an issue with the fisherman, not the rod if you broke 4......
